FDA Approves Shot To Boost Women’s Sex Drive

viagraThe FDA approved a new drug to boost low sex drive for women. The medication comes in the form of a shot to the thigh or abdomen, and is only the second FDA-approved drug to enhance women’s sexual desire. The drug will be marketed under the name Vyleesi, and will be used to treat premenopausal women with a hypoactive sexual desire disorder, or a persistent lack of interest in sex.

The pharmaceutical industry has pointed to surveys in recent years that indicate the sexual disorder affects one in 10 women. The approval was based on women’s responses to questionnaires that showed increases in sexual desire and decreases related to stress. While the women didn’t report having more sex, as the drug’s chief medical officer says, “Women are not desiring more sex. They want better sex.”

Young Women Who Watch A Lot Of Porn Are Less Likely To Enjoy Sex

img_5939A new study published in the Journal of Women’s Health found that college-age straight women who watch a lot of porn are more likely to feel insecure during sex—and enjoy it less as a result. Researchers discovered a direct link between thinking about porn during sex and insecurities. And the findings also showed that the more women used porn for self-pleasure, the more likely they were to think about it during sex.

“In other words, pornography use for women is associated with increased thoughts of pornography during sexual encounters. And increased pornography thoughts is associated with increased appearance insecurity and decreased enjoyment of intimate acts during sex,” reports NY Post. One of the study’s researchers adds, “Women with higher rates of viewing pornography were more likely to experience thoughts about pornography during sex with a partner, rely on those thoughts to obtain or maintain excitement, or report a preference for pornography over sex with a partner.” When watching porn goes wrong…

This Is How Long It Takes The Average Woman To Orgasm During Sex

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cunnilingus2In a groundbreaking study, scientists measured women’s “orgasmic latency,” or the amount of time it takes them to cum between arousal and climax. A total of 645 straight women from 21 countries took part, and the average time to reach orgasm was 13 minutes and 25 seconds. Researchers asked women to start a stopwatch when they became sexually aroused, and stop it again when they climaxed.

They defined the moment of becoming aroused as “an intense desire for sex in the presence of erotic stimuli, which were provided by the partner, audiovisual methods or both.” Around one in six of those who took part said they never climaxed during intercourse; for the rest, the time it took ranged from 5 minutes 42 seconds to just over 21 minutes. Almost nine in ten of those who took part in the research reported longer-lasting sensations when they were positioned on top.

Marijuana Really Does Give Women Better Orgasms, Study Finds

24503004315_94fb07d7e3_zA new study backs up what women pot smokers have long ago discovered: smoking marijuana increases sexual pleasure. According to a study that analyzed reports from hundreds of women, marijuana use prior to sex doubles the chances of having a more satisfying orgasm. Researchers explain this is because in addition to lowing sexual inhibitions, “marijuana is also known to heighten sensations such as touch, smell, sight, taste, and hearing.”

The researchers added, “Most women reported increases in sex drive, improvement in orgasm, decrease in pain, but no change in lubrication.” These differences translate to 2.13 higher odds of reporting “satisfactory orgasms” for women who smoke pot. The team concluded in the study published in the journal Sexual Medicine, “Marijuana appears to improve satisfaction with orgasm.”

Women Feel The Most Sexy Doing This Sex Position

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cunnilingus2When it comes to sex positions, women have a clear favorite for feeling sexy. In a survey that asked 2,000 adults about their sex lives, most women said they prefer the missionary position. 40 percent of women reported feeling the most confident and sexy when on the bottom.

In contrast, 21 percent of women admitted that being on top in cowgirl position made them feel insecure about their bodies. Researchers think this has to do with societal pressure for women to look “sexy” during sex. They add that as people get older, they feel better about how they look during sex: About 22 percent of men and women between the ages of 55 and 64 say they “always feel confident” about their bodies, compared to just 7 percent of those between 18 and 24.

Most Women Who Watch Gay Male Porn Imagine Themselves As Men

mtqynjuwodk4ndmzmtg5mtkxAccording to a new study, more than half of women who watch gay male porn “imagine themselves” as men during their sexual fantasies. Researchers looked at data over a 5-year period from 500 women who watch male on male erotica and found that 55 percent of women surveyed fantasized about being the opposite sex in the porno. Researchers believe it’s hotter for women to identify with gay male porn stars rather than with female porn stars because they’re so often depicted as sexual objects that are there for men’s pleasure.

The study also revealed that 37 percent of all gay porn streamed on PornHub is actually watched by women. And gay male porn was the second most popular choice for female users of PornHub for the past two years. “While some meet the existence of women enjoying m/m sexually explicit media with surprise, there is growing acceptance that it is perhaps not quite as uncommon as first thought,” said the study’s head researcher.

Janelle Monáe Rocks “Pussy” Pants In New Music Video

Hero_Landscape_Pynk_Janelle_Monae_Credit_Wondaland-Arts-Society-and-Atlantic-RecordsJanelle Monáe almost broke the internet when she debuted the now iconic “pussy” pants from her “Pynk” music video. The video features neon “Pussy Power” signs, pubic hair and, of course, synchronized desert dancing in pink pants that resemble vaginas. She said that she hopes the “Pynk” video can be a celebration of all women’s bodies, which is why she’s now thinking of mass-producing the pussy pants.

The Grammy-nominated singer recently came out as queer in a feature for Rolling Stone, telling the magazine she identifies with aspects of pansexuality and bisexuality. “Being a queer black woman in America ― someone who has been in relationships with both men and women ― I consider myself to be a free-ass motherfucker,” she told Rolling Stone. So, if you want to celebrate women’s bodies and a badass role-model, you might be able to rock your very own pussy pants soon!

8 Things Women Do In Movies During Sex That Are Totally Unrealistic

Annas Your Escape03Have you ever watched a sex scene in a movie and thought it was totally unrealistic? That’s because it probably was! From wearing bras to skipping foreplay entirely, here are 8 things women do in movies during sex that just doesn’t happen in real life.

  1. Require zero foreplay to get things going and have an instant orgasm. It takes a litttttle more effort than that, Hollywood. Just sayin’.
  2. And then have instantaneous penetrative sex without lube.Come on, movies—lube is your friend!
  3. Moan for the ENTIRE time — from the second their partner touches them.Unless you are getting fucked by a superhero/sex-god, you probably won’t cum just by having your knee touched.
  4. Wear a bra before, during, AND after sex.We have just three words in response to this: Free. The. Nipple.
  5. Have an orgasm “by accident” in a restaurant/park/somewhere in public. If only life were like the movies…
  6. Orgasm in slow motion, looking more like they’re in a shampoo commercial. The better the orgasm, the less cute you look.
  7. They never make one embarrassing sound. No queefing or hilarious slapping noises. NOTHING. Really?
  8. Have perfect shower sex where no one awkwardly slips.Slippery while wet, people…

Women Are More Likely To Cum With Other Women, Study Says

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cosmolesbianpositionsWhen it comes to women’s pleasure, lesbians are experts. In a study of 2,300 women, the researchers found that 32 percent were more likely to cum with the same-sex, despite the fact that straight couples had sex more frequently. The study also found that women orgasm from same-sex encounters as many as 55 times a month, while straight women only cum 7 times over the same period.

Researchers say the findings are further evidence about the “orgasm gap,” emphasizing that women benefit from “diverse” approaches to sex instead of just penetrative sex. “Sex that includes more varied sexual behavior results in women experiencing more orgasms,” said a sex researcher. It’s well known that most women can’t cum from penetration alone, and need clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm. But the more you know, the more you cum!

How Porn Stars Compare With The Rest Of Us

sexy-librarianEver wonder how regular folks compare with porn stars? Researchers compared 177 porn actresses with 177 non-porn star women of the same age, ethnic background, and marital status, and as you can imagine, the findings are very interesting. Porn stars are much more likely to be bisexual, with 67.1 percent of respondents reporting they swing both ways, while only 7.1 percent of regular women say they’re bi.

Porn stars also have a much higher number of sex partners—74 compared with only 5 for non-porn stars. Tellingly, 69 percent reported greatly enjoying sex (marking a ’10’ on a 1-10 scale of enjoyment), while only 33 percent of non-porn stars said the same. Overall, porn stars also scored higher on evaluations of self-esteem, social support, positive feelings, and spirituality. So there you have it: adult film stars really have it all.
