Regret Does Not Keep Women From Avoiding One Night Stands

It seems regret is not as powerful as the urge to get it on. Women tend to regret casual sex more than men—but not enough to stop themselves from having more one night stands, a new study reveals. Norwegian researchers found women experience higher levels of “sexual regret,” meaning they’re more likely to wish they hadn’t hooked up with a random person—but they still don’t feel bad enough about it to change their behavior next time.

Researchers believe this is because of the power of women’s high sex drive. The experts found little evidence that sexual regret is “functional,” or in other words, it doesn’t really contribute to any real change in behavior. “We are not that surprised,” said study’s author. “For the most part, people continue with the same sexual behavior and the same level of regret.”

It’s A Myth That Women Don’t Want Sex As They Age, Study Finds

It’s a myth that women lose interest in sex as they enter midlife and beyond, according to new research that followed over 3,200 women for approximately 15 years. “About a quarter of women rate sex as very important, regardless of their age,” said the lead author of the study being presented during the 2020 virtual annual meeting of The North American Menopause Society. “The study showed substantial numbers of women still highly value sex, even as they get older, and it’s not abnormal,” said an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.

“If women are able to speak up with their partner and make sure that they’re having sex that’s fulfilling and pleasurable to them, then they’re more likely to rate it as highly important as they get older,” she said. “That’s actually quite refreshing, that there were a quarter of women for whom sex remains not just on the radar but highly important,” said another doctor. “Studies like these provide valuable insights to health care providers who may otherwise dismiss a woman’s waning sexual desire as a natural part of aging,” she said.

Sex Is “Highly Important” To Middle-Aged Women, Study Says

You’re never too old for fun in the bedroom, according to a new study from University of Pittsburgh. Hitting midlife can still turn up the heat among women—in ways many might not expect. Thousands of women aged 45 to 60 were asked about their sex lives, and more than a quarter said sex was “highly important” when they got to middle age.

Not only that, but they were also more likely to have better sexual satisfaction with their partners—even into their senior years. A middle-aged TV presenter echoed the point, saying “People say, ‘Oh, it’s all gone… menopause… you’re finished.’ It’s really important to say that people in their 50s are having the time of their lives.” Sex is like a fine wine—it gets better with age!

Pornhub Tries To Close The Orgasm Gap On International Female Orgasm Day

On the weekend of International Female Orgasm Day, Pornhub will seek to close the orgasm gap by raising awareness of the issue on its platform. The porn megasite will interrupt their videos most viewed by straight men at the 40 percent timestamp — to highlight how approximately 40 percent of straight women don’t orgasm during sex with their partners. “Researchers demystified the female orgasm decades ago by highlighting the importance of clitoral stimulation and foreplay for women to reach The Big O,” said the VP of Pornhub in a press release.

“Yet, in straight relationships, women are still getting the short end of the stick in nearly half of all of their sexual encounters,” he added. In addition to interrupting videos, Pornhub also asks women to go to the campaign landing page endtheorgasmgap.com and “reward” men who made them orgasm with an official certificate. Pornhub is also offering thousands of female orgasm instructional videos: “The party shouldn’t end as soon as the man reaches orgasm, which is why we’re encouraging straight men to do their research to ensure everyone gets over the finish line.”

Women Who Use Marijuana Have Better Orgasms

If you don’t want your sex life to go to pot, you might consider smoking some. A new study finds that women who consume cannabis on a regular basis report having better orgasms, higher arousal and more sexual satisfaction. In general, women in the study who get high reported a better time in the bedroom.

“Our results demonstrate that increasing frequency of cannabis use is associated with improved sexual function and is associated with increased satisfaction, orgasm, and sexual desire,” the authors of the study wrote. The authors added, “For each additional step of cannabis use intensity (ie, times per week), the odds of reporting female sexual dysfunction declined by 21%.” Researchers aren’t sure about why exactly weed is linked to better sex but they pointed out that the drug can make women feel less anxious and more relaxed — often leading to a better experience between the sheets.

Women Share The Things They Wish Men Wouldn’t Copy From Porn During Sex

A Reddit user asked women to share things guys copy from porn that aren’t enjoyable, and the discussion got heated. Sometimes what works in porn, does not work in real life—as many women attested to. Whether it’s bad butt sex etiquette or getting too rough too soon, here are 9 things women said they wish men would stop doing from porn.

  1. “Going faster when you tell them something feels good/you’re gonna cum. Pro tip: Don’t change a goddamn thing. Keep up the same pace.”
Slow and steady wins the race!
  2. “Rubbing the clit like a fucking stain on a shirt. Circular motions, please.”
PSA: the clit is oh so sensitive!
  3. “Stop jackhammering into us right off the bat. Warm up to it and get us WET. No, spitting on the pussy doesn’t count.”
    Preach!
  4. “When they go from ass to vag. Good way to get an infection. Once you go butthole, you don’t go back.”
    That’s just good hygiene.
  5. “Slapping the vagina like a used-car salesman trying to sell a 1999 Corolla.”
    Unless she’s into that…
  6. “Don’t grab the titty so fucking hard, bro!”
    Good advice!
  7. “STOP being silent! Please moan; that shit’s hot as hell.”
    Yes!
  8. “Expecting the woman to shoot forth a geyser of fluid. If something happens, it’s a trickle, not Old Faithful.”
    Great Squirt-pectations!
  9. “THREESOMES. I’m bisexual, and literally every guy I’ve been with has asked for one.”
    Well, we see their point..

Women Who Watch Porn, Have College Degrees Are More Likely To Cum

Researchers have discovered that women who frequently watch porn are less likely to have difficulty getting turned on and more likely to orgasm while masturbating. In the new study, the research team discovered that frequent porn viewing in women was a predictor for “lower arousal difficulty and orgasmic difficulty, greater pleasure, and a higher percentage of masturbatory events leading to orgasm.” Researchers found porn did not negatively impact women’s relationships with their partners, either—refuting claims from conservative organizations, like anti-porn nonprofit Fight the New Drug.

According to the research, porn actually has no bearing on romantic relationships; it just makes sex a lot more fun. Meanwhile, education levels also served as a predictor for less issues getting turned on while masturbating, a “higher likelihood” of having an orgasm during sex, and experiencing less difficulty reaching an orgasm while touching oneself or having sex. “One common interpretation of this relationship is that more educated (and thus literate in many cultures) women are more aware of their sexuality, sexual issues, and sexual choices, and thus able to better articulate their sexual desires to their partner and to prioritize their own pleasure as an integral component of meaningful sexual relationships,” the study notes.

FrolicMe’s Real Porn For Women

The creator of FrolicMe was tired of what she saw in mainstream porn—so she decided to start her own porn site with women’s pleasure in mind. The result is sex-positive, gorgeous porn with beautiful performers and locales. While the X-rated videos do emphasize female pleasure, they are still—as FrolicMe puts it—naughty.

“I very much play on fantasies,” she said. “As a woman, I’m sort of thinking, ‘What would my top sexual fantasies be?'” She listed off sex in an elevator, on the beach, an illicit encounter, and spying through a keyhole as scenarios the site has explored. The site features scenes with anal, threesomes, elements of BDSM—but most importantly, women really enjoying themselves.

After she and her partner found the CBD lubricant, his friends then launched a CBD company – Maven Hemp – which produced cannabidiol lube called Haven. “I didn’t want to be on hardcore painkillers, I wanted a natural remedy that worked with my body that allowed me to actually enjoy sex – which for the first time in my life, I really am,” she explained. Women Have Just As Many Sex Dreams As Men, Study Finds

just4pleasureIt seems wet dreams are not just for men. According to new research in the journal Psychology & Sexuality, women are having as many erotic dreams as men. The report looked at women aged 16 to 30 and found that they are having three times as many sex dreams as they did 50 years ago.

Similar studies conducted in 1966 and 1998 showed just under 4% of women reported sexual dreaming, but researchers say women are more likely to remember their dirty dreams now simply because there’s less shame in it. The study polled 2,907 participants aged 16 to 92 on their dreams, and found that, for both men and women, an average of 18% of all dreams were sexual. “One might speculate that younger women in modern society deal with sexuality more openly than older women of previous generations,” the researchers say.
