Marijuana Really Does Give Women Better Orgasms, Study Finds

24503004315_94fb07d7e3_zA new study backs up what women pot smokers have long ago discovered: smoking marijuana increases sexual pleasure. According to a study that analyzed reports from hundreds of women, marijuana use prior to sex doubles the chances of having a more satisfying orgasm. Researchers explain this is because in addition to lowing sexual inhibitions, “marijuana is also known to heighten sensations such as touch, smell, sight, taste, and hearing.”

The researchers added, “Most women reported increases in sex drive, improvement in orgasm, decrease in pain, but no change in lubrication.” These differences translate to 2.13 higher odds of reporting “satisfactory orgasms” for women who smoke pot. The team concluded in the study published in the journal Sexual Medicine, “Marijuana appears to improve satisfaction with orgasm.”

Regular Marijuana Users Have More Sex

Couple making love in bedA new study is proving what weed smokers have known all along: smoking pot can increase your sex drive. The study, published in Journal of Sexual Medicine, found that people who smoke more weed also have more sex. Researchers looked at data of more than 50,000 people and found a definite link between regular marijuana usage and more frequent sex.

Women who smoked pot had sex an average of 7.1 times month, compared with 6 times per month for those who don’t smoke. The results were similar for men: 6.9 times a month for daily weed smokers, and 5.6 times a month for non-smokers. Researchers aren’t sure whether marijuana caused people to have sex more frequently or not, but they had this to say: “We don’t want people to smoke to improve sexual function, but it probably doesn’t hurt things.”

Vaginal Suppositories Offer a Whole New Way to Ingest Cannabis

These days, cannabis entrepreneurs are coming out with new and exciting ways to ingest the drug: edibles, vaporizing, oils and balms. But now, one company is promising to take weed to the next level with its latest product: a pot-infused vaginal suppository. That’s right, Foria, the same company that brought you pot-infused lube, is now offering women a whole new way to reap the medicinal benefits of marijuana—through their va-jay-jay’s!

The company is marketing the product as a pain relief option for menstruation: “Till now, women had few options to address menstrual discomfort, primarily systemic pain relievers such as Ibuprofen or herbal teas,” Foria says. But don’t expect it to get your pussy stoned—it’s non-psychoactive “because of the delivery format.” The suppository delivers approximately 60 milligrams of THC and 10 milligrams of CBD, and is made of a mix of cocoa butter, CO2-extracted cannabis oil and a CBD isolate. It’s also adsorbed much faster through the vagina, taking only about 15 minutes to kick in instead of the usual two hours when ingesting edibles, which are adsorbed through the liver. So, ladies, if you’re looking for some buzz-worthy relief, check out your local weed stores in Cali and, hopefully soon, Colorado.

Sexxpot, the Aphrodisiac Weed

5002299100_590525a1be_zA new company is producing an aphrodisiac weed that is supposed to help enhance sex called, appropriately, Sexxpot. The company’s founder said she smoked the strand of herb before getting it on and liked it so much that she asked her partner to label the weed so she’d know to smoke it again next time—and he labeled it “sex pot.” Sexxpot is derived from a low THC strain of bud that is specifically very helpful for women who want to relax and have extra sensations during sex.

Sexxpot works great for women because its lower than average THC levels help to put them in a sensual headspace without getting them too high to actually fuck (men usually need higher doses for the same effects). Although aphrodisiac weed is nothing new—people have long regarded pot as “nature’s viagra”—Sexxpot’s focus on women and their libidos is pretty novel since the weed game tends to be generally geared towards men. In fact, men are usually the ones to seek out weed to enhance sex and arousal, while women often still view it as taboo. While more science is needed to determine exactly why Sexxpot’s strain is so effective at helping women to have better, more intense sex, so far testimonies from multiple women show it just might be a game-changer for improving women’s sex lives.
