Actress-Turned-Porn Star Maitland Ward Returning To TV

Former “Boy Meets World” actress-turned-porn-star Maitland Ward is making her return to TV. She’s set to star in and produce a new comedy series called “The Big Time”—which centers around a “world-famous adult superstar.” “The Big Time” marks Ward’s return to the small screen after her leap into the porn industry nearly 20 years after “Boy Meets World” ended.

“I want to slay both industries,” Ward said. “I love and embrace both. Me being bold and free in my sexuality and so out there with it has really given me that power.” Now she gets to fuse both loves with her “sex-positive” passion project, which is a classic example of art imitating life. The show follows Ward’s character who, after a successful career in X-rated films, has been tapped to “save a waning film studio on the brink of collapse”—and much to fans delight, “It’s going to have nudity, but it is going to be light-hearted,” Ward said. “It’s not going to be like, bubblegum.”

‘Boy Meets World’ Star To Make Porn Debut

Best known for playing Rachel McGuire in the final seasons of Boy Meets World, Maitland Ward is preparing to make her porn debut in the upcoming adult film Drive. In an interview, she said she is excited to do something “so different than anything [she] has portrayed before.”

She adds, “I don’t think my fans have seen me like this before—really, they haven’t. It’s just very deep sensuality, and I think that is a really fun way to play an explorer, and I got to do things that I wouldn’t have thought in the past. Just these sexual situations that are sort of taboo.” She explains she became comfortable as “an exhibitionist” before she recently began doing professional adult films. On Boy Meets World, she played Eric (Will Friedle) and Jack’s (Matthew Lawrence) college roommate, and she’s also acted in projects such as White Chicks and Boston Public.
