The survey of 2,000 Americans saw kisses on the neck voted as officially the biggest turn-on, followed by hearing just three little words: “I like that.” Yes, among American’s biggest turn-ons, 76 percent of respondents like their partner giving them a little verbal reassurance in bed.

Not surprisingly, 46 percent of Americans say the presence of sex toys in bed is a total turn-on. And for men, going down on women is one of the things that gets them the hottest. Americans also reported being turned on three times every day, with one in five (19 percent) saying it’s actually more times than that.

As it turns out, women masturbate on average two days per week, for 13 minutes each session, while men jerk off four days per week for 14 minutes.

And when it comes to “style,” sixty percent of women use their hand and 40 percent use a toy, while 90 percent of men use their hand over a toy. Men use porn more than women—67 percent versus 38 percent—while women prefer to look for material in their own heads, fantasizing about a partner (14 percent), a stranger (12 percent), or a friend (6 percent). Both sexes revealed the unexpected places that they’d had a solo love-session: a quarter have done it in public, 15 percent said they’d done it at work, and 15 percent said they’d done it at a friend’s house.
