Watching Nature Documentaries Can Boost Your Sex Life

Two Teenagers Lying in Bed Watching TVIt turns out watching David Attenborough documentaries offers a more “exciting” kind of entertainment than people originally thought. A new study found that Planet Earth and Blue Planet could improve viewers’ sex lives by helping them to have “a more compassionate view of their body.” The study’s authors from the University of Cambridge said, “Views of rivers and trees are devoid of materialism and so allow the viewer respite from thoughts of image.”

Researchers believe watching nature documentaries could be a low cost alternative to promoting better sex, especially for folks who don’t live near natural environments. This also supports an earlier study that suggests people have sex more often if they are confident in their own skin. But researchers warn that watching images of nature might not work in the right environments: “If we watch Springwatch on the sofa whilst at the same time checking our Twitter feed, it’s possible the natural scenes might not have the same immersive effect.”

Shocking Number Of Americans Have Sex At Work

bathroomHave you ever “gotten down to business” while at your place of business? If so, you’re not alone: more than 1 in 10 Americans have fucked at work, according to a new survey. A study of 2,000 people found that 14 percent have had sex at their place of work, and that 19 percent (1 in 5) of those people have actually been caught in the act! Sex toy company EdenFantasys conducted the survey and found that a shocking 44 percent of Americans have had a hot, full-fledged workplace romance.

Other steamy data shows that 1 in 10 respondents have had sex with their boss. And 34 percent of naughty workplace romances involve somebody who is already married or engaged to somebody else. “For many, work is a very stressful environment and sex can be a great stress relief,” EdenFantasys said. “While the idea of having sex at work is an enticing one, we at EdenFantasys recommend spicing things up with a good sex toy instead.”

This Is Your Brain On VR Porn

233840824_582a98b816_zBaDoinkVR, one of the largest VR porn companies, has partnered with a neuroscience research firm to study the impact virtual reality porn has on the brain. The VR porn company wants to find out not only what consumers want from their porn, but also how the brain responds to what it’s seeing. “We [BadoinkVR and I] started discussing how they keep track of what the consumers want and to what extent you can believe what they say [they want],” says a neuro-analyst at Neurons.

They conducted experiments on men who watched both 2D and 3D porn and then gathered data on three different measurements, including arousal, motivation, and cognitive load, or the amount of work the brain is doing while watching porn. Researchers found that VR porn increased the average cognitive load across the board, which means the participants were actually more “immersed” and “positively engaged” in the adult content than with regular porn. But interestingly, the most important thing—arousal—was the same with both kinds of porn. Perhaps this experiment proves another point: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it?

People Who Sleep 8 Hours Have More Orgasmic Sex, Study Shows

white-1822497_640Here’s a really good reason to get a good night’s rest: those who sleep more each night have more orgasmic sex. On top of the numerous other health benefits of sleep, a study found that more shut-eye can lead to a greater increase in sexual desire and boost sex hormones such as testosterone. A sex researcher explains that sex and sleep are intimately tied, since not only can good sleep lead to better sex but good sex can also lead to better sleep.

“A good night’s sleep can increase interest in sex and a good sexual encounter can lead to a better sleep,” she explains. Her work is backed by a different study at the University of Michigan Medical School that found that women who slept longer had more sexual desire the following day. “For every hour longer the women slept, the odds of having sex with their partner increased by 14 percent. The same study found that more sleep also equated to better genital arousal,” reports Daily Mail. Time to hit the sheets!

Netflix Is Killing Couples’ Sex Lives, Study Finds

netflixandchillWhile the expression “Netflix and Chill” used to be code for casual sex, it might have taken on a more literal meaning. New research suggests that couples are getting into bed to watch shows on their iPads, instead of getting it on. “A study by researchers at Lancaster University in the UK reveals that the busiest hour for internet use is now between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., driven by those watching streaming services such as Netflix, iPlayer and YouTube,” reports NY Post.

Evidence from nearly 400 devices shows that viewers are prolonging the “traditional” hours of TV watching, to the detriment of their sex lives. A University of Cambridge professor warns that the research supports his theory that couples are less interested in sex because they watch more TV in bed. In 2016, he blamed figures showing falling rates of sex on the “mass of connectivity” we have now “compared with just a few years ago when the TV used to close down at half past 10.” Netflix and Chill—more like Netflix and Kill (Sex).

Have More Sex By Doing These Two Household Chores

Mistress_Olivia_Vexx-03Want to get dirty with your partner? Better start cleaning up first! According to a new study, couples who share more housework have more sex. Not surprisingly, the couples were happiest when they divided tasks evenly—and couples where both partners dusted and cleaned the bathroom had sex nearly two more times a month.

Psychologists and sexperts note that if women feel burdened by doing too much housework, they will feel less like getting intimate with their partner because they don’t feel supported. “If they’re not as tired, or less stressed, then they’re more able to relax — and more likely to want to connect to a partner,” says a psychologist. Researchers also talk about “choreplay,” or when a partner chips in with housework without needing to be asked—you know, the other person might very much be in the mood to “express their gratitude.”

The Most Popular Places To Fuck Outside Of The Bedroom

NiteFlirt_best_Phone _Sex_engagement in the carCouples who experiment with having sex outside of the bedroom are more likely to be satisfied with their relationships and with their sex lives, a new study finds. House Method asked more than a thousand people to reveal their favorite places to fuck at home other than the bedroom. The findings prove that spontaneity and experimentation is key to keeping the excitement alive in a relationship.

The most popular spot to have sex is the living room or family room, with 96.6 per cent, followed by the bathroom (82.8 per cent), the guest room (64.9 per cent), the kitchen (57.5 per cent), and the den (56.6 per cent). The study also found that couples who have sex outside of the bedroom fuck more frequently, at 10.9 times per week — compared to 5.8 times per week for couples who only get it on in their beds. As for sex positions, 69 was most popular in the guest bedroom, living room, and den, while standing is most popular in the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room, and doggy style is most popular in the living room, bathroom, and kitchen.

Sex Boosts Memory, New Study Finds

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_sex9Here’s another reason to have more sex: it boosts memory, according to new research. Researchers analyzed two years of data on more than 6,000 adults aged 50 and over, and overwhelmingly found that those who have more sex were better at recalling recent events. “The researchers said this study, and previous studies in mice, suggest sex boosts memory by stimulating the growth of neurons in the hippocampus, a part of the brain that is activated when episodic and spatial memory tasks are performed,” reports Daily Mail.

The research establishing that sex enhances memory was first performed on mice, but this study is the first time it’s been confirmed with humans. Participants completed a memory test and a questionnaire where they reported how often they had sex, kissed, or sexually touched a partner. As with mice, humans who fucked on a regular basis fared much better when it came to recalling episodic memories.

Monogamy Killed The Penis Bone In Humans, New Research Suggests

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cocks_on_filmEven though we call erections “boners,” ironically, human men don’t actually have penis bones. For decades scientists have wondered why, but a new study might finally answer the mystery. As it turns out, monogamy killed the penis bone.

The study ultimately discovered “a clear [relationship] between the bone’s length and a species’ promiscuity: more promiscuous species had longer bacula,” writes The Economist. And the longer the penis bone, the more likely a man would keep the female away from his competition while he impregnated her. “What scientists now theorize is that humans lost their penis bones when monogamy became prevalent, about 1.9 million years ago. They no longer had the pressing need to keep away the competition by fucking for a long time,” reports Gizmodo. So there you have it, guys—you lost your dick bone, but gained true love.

These Are The Most Common Sexual Fantasies

PinkPussyPaige02You might be surprised how common certain fantasies and fetishes are. A new survey of 400 people from a mobile dating app discovered that a lot of us have the same desires. The survey asked 241 women and 159 men about their sexual fantasies and found that the most common fantasy is having sex with multiple people at the same time, which 17.6% reported thinking about during masturbation.

Other popular sexual fantasies include role play, BDSM, and having an affair. Surprisingly, only 3% of respondents said they get turned on by the idea of public sex. “The big take-away from this data is that we are all more alike than we may think,” a researcher told Refinery29. “There’s safety in numbers, and if our survey can help people feel more comfortable in the knowledge that others share their thoughts on threesomes and role play, for example, perhaps it can lead to more fulfilling sex lives for all.”
