Survey Shows People Who Make Their Beds Have More Sex

There’s a major incentive for making your bed each morning—you’ll get laid more. According to new research, nearly four in 10 Americans said it would be a total turn-off to date someone who doesn’t make their bed. The study split 2,000 Americans by bed-makers and non-bed-makers and found those who make their beds every day are having sex 25 percent more during their time in quarantine.

Bed-makers were also more likely than non-bed-makers to report that an unmade bed is a turn-off, at 55 percent of bed-makers compared to only 9 percent of non-bed-makers. In fact, 61 percent of non-bed-makers said an unmade bed wouldn’t be a deal-breaker on a date. So there you have it: more bed-making leads to more sex!

Women Who Use Marijuana Have Better Orgasms

If you don’t want your sex life to go to pot, you might consider smoking some. A new study finds that women who consume cannabis on a regular basis report having better orgasms, higher arousal and more sexual satisfaction. In general, women in the study who get high reported a better time in the bedroom.

“Our results demonstrate that increasing frequency of cannabis use is associated with improved sexual function and is associated with increased satisfaction, orgasm, and sexual desire,” the authors of the study wrote. The authors added, “For each additional step of cannabis use intensity (ie, times per week), the odds of reporting female sexual dysfunction declined by 21%.” Researchers aren’t sure about why exactly weed is linked to better sex but they pointed out that the drug can make women feel less anxious and more relaxed — often leading to a better experience between the sheets.

Women Who Watch Porn, Have College Degrees Are More Likely To Cum

Researchers have discovered that women who frequently watch porn are less likely to have difficulty getting turned on and more likely to orgasm while masturbating. In the new study, the research team discovered that frequent porn viewing in women was a predictor for “lower arousal difficulty and orgasmic difficulty, greater pleasure, and a higher percentage of masturbatory events leading to orgasm.” Researchers found porn did not negatively impact women’s relationships with their partners, either—refuting claims from conservative organizations, like anti-porn nonprofit Fight the New Drug.

According to the research, porn actually has no bearing on romantic relationships; it just makes sex a lot more fun. Meanwhile, education levels also served as a predictor for less issues getting turned on while masturbating, a “higher likelihood” of having an orgasm during sex, and experiencing less difficulty reaching an orgasm while touching oneself or having sex. “One common interpretation of this relationship is that more educated (and thus literate in many cultures) women are more aware of their sexuality, sexual issues, and sexual choices, and thus able to better articulate their sexual desires to their partner and to prioritize their own pleasure as an integral component of meaningful sexual relationships,” the study notes.

A Lot Of Americans Have Broken Quarantine For Sex

Three in 10 Americans have broken quarantine to have sex, according to new research. The survey asked 2,000 Americans about their sex lives during the pandemic, and found that many randy folks are breaking quarantine to bone. Aside from the 30 percent who’ve left their own homes for sex, 51 percent of those surveyed who have been quarantining alone have had a sexual partner come over to their home.

Another three in 10 respondents who aren’t self-isolating with a partner have had video sex and 18 percent have had phone sex. Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of MysteryVibe, the survey found that 76 percent of respondents said they’ve used lockdown as an opportunity to spice up their sex lives with their partners. Of those surveyed who are isolating with a partner, 78 percent are having more sex thanks to their increased time together.

Couples Should Wear Face Masks During Sex, Study Says

It seems condoms aren’t the only thing necessary for safe sex these days. A new study from researchers at Harvard University says that hooking up carries some risk for transmitting COVID-19 from one partner to the other and recommends — among other practices — wearing a face mask while doin’ it. The safest approach to sexual activity, according to the researchers, is not having any.

They add masturbation is the best bet. But if you are going out of the house to fuck, the study says, besides keeping your mask on, you should avoid kissing, any oral-to-anal act and anything else that involves semen or urine. Researchers also advise showering before and after, and cleaning the space with alcohol wipes or soap.

No Sex For 30 Days After Coronavirus Recovery, Study Says

We’ve got bad news for people feeling frisky after recovering from the coronavirus—you’ve got to wait 30 days until you can have sex. Experts are warning people off fucking and even kissing for more than a month once they’ve recovered from COVID-19. The advice comes after a Chinese study found that not only saliva but semen may carry the virus.

Researchers said while they are still unsure whether the illness can be sexually transmitted, it was safer for people to take precautions. The team of scientists wrote: “The presence of viruses in semen may be more common than currently understood, and traditional nonsexually transmitted viruses should not be assumed to be totally absent in genital secretions.” Scientists also said wearing a condom after 30 days is necessary.

Australia Is A Nation Of Porn Lovers

9741737763_d422cd07c8_zAussies really love their porn. Research has found porn viewing figures in Australia have tripled in just three years. Between 2014 and 2017 the online volume of traffic to Pornhub in Sydney soared by 205%.

A researcher who looked into the porn phenomenon found that lesbian-themed porn ranked as the most popular category in Australia. There was also an increase in the popularity of Asian and Japanese porn, and transgender porn. The researcher also found a surprising statistic: only 30 percent of Pornhub viewers are female. Just goes to show how popular lesbian porn is across genders—and the planet.

Sex Fetishes Ranked By State

Image Source: Researchers took a look at more than 40 sex terms that were Googled across the US and determined each state’s most-searched fetish. “Frisky Googlers in Nevada and Indiana are going wild for armpits, New Mexicans are titillated by chastity belts, and Alabama has an affinity for Goop-approved yoni eggs — egg-shaped hunks of jade made for the vagina that supposedly elevate orgasms,” reports NY Post. Sports gear has residents in Kansas, Mississippi and Wisconsin going wild, while uniforms get Ohioans hot.

Texans prefer whipping in the bedroom, and masochism—gaining pleasure from your own pain—is the most popular fetish in Colorado, Washington, DC, Maryland and South Dakota. It seems “looners” live in Virginia, with balloons as their No. 1 fetish. The top three searched-for terms throughout all 50 states are masochism, group sex and sadism.

Women Who Fuck Less Frequently At Risk For Early Menopause

Having sex less frequently is linked to earlier menopause, according to a new study. Researchers analyzed data from a 10-year national study of almost 3,000 women, finding that women who engaged in sexual activity every week were 28 percent less likely to have experienced menopause than those having sex less than once a month. “Similarly, those who had sex monthly were 19% less likely to have attained menopause—defined as 12 months without a period—than those who had sex less than once a month,” reports CNN.

The researchers defined sexual activity as including masturbation, so the generalized menopause link applies to solo sex as well as partnered sex; and the definition of partnered sex was broad enough to include “sexual touching or caressing.” Although the study simply found a correlation between less sex and earlier menopause, researchers speculate from the results that the body might take hints from frequent sex that there is a possibility of reproducing. On the other hand, if you’re not having sex “you’re not going to reproduce, there’s no point ovulating—you’re better off using that energy elsewhere,” explains the lead author.

People Will Say Anything If It Leads To Sex, Study Finds

When it comes to getting laid, people will literally say anything. A new study finds that the human brain is hard wired to tell tall tales and outright lie to potential sex partners. “When the possibility of sex looms, people are more likely to change their attitudes and engage in deceptive self-presentation. In other words they conform, embellish, and sometimes lie,” wrote the researchers.

Researchers studied more than 600 heterosexual students about their behaviors while interacting with members of the opposite sex. They found that participants would contradict themselves, exaggerate answers, or simply lie about certain topics to make a connection with an attractive stranger—such as under-estimating their number of past sexual partners. “When your sexual system is activated you are motivated to present yourself in the best light possible. That means you’ll tell a stranger things that make you look better than you really are,” researchers explain.
