Exotic Dancers Rejoice As Bristol Council Votes To Keep Strip Clubs

Exotic dancers in Bristol have been left “screaming and crying with joy” after the council voted down a motion to ban strip clubs and other sex entertainment venues (SEVs) in the city. A consortium of women’s rights organizations and community groups have been campaigning for Bristol to follow in the footsteps of Edinburgh and impose a blanket ban, but strippers insist exotic dancing has given them a better life. “Stripping has allowed me to have a flexible enough schedule to pursue my dream career while simultaneously enabling me to live a comfortable life—not living in constant stress due to living from paycheck to paycheck,” says one dancer.

Green party councillor Guy Poultney received a round of applause when he accused women’s rights groups of arguing “we should discount the voices of some women in order to empower them and to restrict their choices in the name of equality and take away their jobs for their own good.” He added they were acting “as if some women can’t be trusted to make choices for themselves.” Following the vote, the Bristol Sex Worker’s Collective said in a statement: “It should never be this difficult for a group of workers to not only have to defend their work rights but their humanity.”

Portland’s Oldest Strip Club Goes Virtual

Even as Portland, Oregon saw rapid changes over the decades, one thing remained constant: Mary’s Club, Portland’s oldest and most famous strip club. Now, performers at the nearly 70-year-old institution are keeping the show going—virtually. “Every Sunday, via Mary’s Instagram account or by email, viewers can purchase access to the show, which typically features a rotating cast of seven who all broadcast from their homes, and a couple of the bartenders even exchange banter in a chat room,” Willamette Week reports.

Since not every dancer has a pole in her living room, performers have gotten creative with their at-home routines. “We’ve had oil baths, we’ve had shower shows, we’ve had dancers rolling around on beds of roses,” says performer and virtual show co-producer Rocket Queen. “Mary’s Club is full of dancers who are just true entertainers and really love their job and love being onstage. We all miss it a lot. This is a fun, creative outlet.” Thank you for your service, Mary’s Club!

Stormy Daniels Was Arrested After Letting Patrons Touch Her While Stripping

Adult-film star Stormy Daniels is back in court, but this time she’s the one who faces charges. Daniels was arrested in an Ohio strip club after undercover police accused her of “fondling” patrons and police while stripping during a performance. During the show, a topless Daniels put detectives’ faces between her breasts and shook them, aka “motor boarding”, a very common part of stripping.

According to a police report, as she performed in front of a female detective, Daniels leaned over, grabbed the detective’s head and “began smacking her face with her bare breasts and holding her face between her breasts against her chest.” Authorities also accused her of touching the breasts and asses of individuals who were present at the performance, including police officers. Less than a day after the arrest, prosecutors dropped charges for what Daniels’ lawyer referred to as a “sting operation,” and the next night, Daniels was back at the club to strip again.

Strip Club Claimed Dancers Were Therapists To Skirt $3.1 Million In Taxes

Copy-of-Stripper_on_a_Pole_svgIt’s true exotic dancers perform an important service to their customers, but can anyone call it “therapeutic”? That’s what one Manhattan strip club claimed when trying to finesse their way out of a hefty tax bill. In an attempt to skirt $3.1 million in state taxes, the strip club claimed its dancers were providing therapy to customers, and not just entertainment.

According to the New York Daily news, the owners of the Penthouse Executive Club unsuccessfully argued that they shouldn’t have to pay taxes because its dancers provided services not unlike a massage therapist or a sex therapist. The owners told a state tax tribunal, “what is provided in its clubs is not entertainment, but rather a non-taxable service similar to a therapeutic massage conducted in a sensual manner or personal services provided by a sex therapist.” Unfortunately, the tribunal didn’t agree—but maybe that’s because they don’t frequent enough strip clubs?

Looking for some good relief yourself? The personal services we provide here is definitely worth a million bucks!

Vivica A. Fox has been keeping busy lately with her reality show, Vivica’s Black Magic, and a brand new male strip club. The hot dancers featured in her male exotic revue are certainly living up to all the reality show hype. But recently the risque club has been drawing attention due to some unsexy comments Fox made about its gay clientele.

In an on-air interview, Fox responded with a “Hell no” when asked about the club’s gay patrons. She’s since clarified her comments with a tweet explaining that all are welcome to enjoy the sensual entertainment, but it’s really meant to give women “#UltimateGurlsNiteOut.” While we’re all about the ladies, the question remains: why can’t the gyrating male bodies in the club be fos

Strippers Explain Strip Club Etiquette

Copy-of-Stripper_on_a_Pole_svgLet’s face it, in any establishment there are unwritten rules about how to behave—and this is especially true at a strip club. That’s why some exotic dancers were only too happy to sit down with a writer at Vice to discuss how customers should behave when getting down at the strip club. Here’s the dancers’ best advice for those looking to have some fun, and not piss anyone off:

  1. Don’t try to have sex with the dancers
Strippers work in the sex industry, but they aren’t sex workers. Meaning, they don’t have sex for money. Don’t ask; it’s rude.
  2. Be nice; don’t be creepy Some strippers have had some not so nice experiences with dudes telling them that they look like a sister or a daughter. That’s creepy. Best not to mention relatives at the strip club.
  3. Wear deodorant
Body odor kills the mood pretty quick. Be kind; wear deodorant.
  4. Fetish play costs extra If you’ve got a fetish you’d like a dancer to indulge in the champagne room, understand that you will need to pay extra.
  5. Don’t cum in your pants
If you are going to cum, please give the dancer a heads up (pun intended!) beforehand. It’s not polite to have her sit in your jizz without a warning.
  6. Respect the strippers
These women are mothers, daughters, sisters, students, future surgeons, you name it. They need to be treated with respect.

Want to have some well-behaved (or not!) fun with us? You know what they say, what happens in the Niteflirt champagne room, stays in the Niteflirt champagne room!
