Sex Toy Sales Rise 110 Percent In Denmark After Lockdown

Danes definitely know how to use their time wisely. Sales of sex toys in Denmark have more than doubled after the country was told to stay at home to limit the spread of coronavirus, according to the country’s biggest retailer of adult merchandise. “It makes me happy that we are doing something good during this difficult time when people feel vulnerable,” said Sinful, the biggest sex toy seller in the Nordics.

The country’s biggest sex toy review website Eroti.dk said traffic has more than tripled during the lockdown compared with the same period last year. In particular demand for sex games and toys for couples has spiked—Sinful said sales of a 10-day love challenge for couples rose more than four-fold since mid-March compared with the same period before the lockdown. “I think it’s only natural that when we spend more time together we want to have a little extra fun,” said Sinful. “We take better care of each other in this difficult time and that also reflects on our sex lives,” she said.

Global Sex Toy Sales Surge Because Of Coronavirus

inflatable-tubeFirst Pornhub gave premium access to people in Italy quarantined for the coronavirus, and now sex toy sales are booming due to the pandemic. Adult toy brand Womanizer said projections it made for sales are “well above average,” mainly in areas largely affected by the virus. In Italy sex toy purchases are trending 60 per cent above the forecast; in France it’s 40 per cent; in Canada it’s 135 per cent. In the United States it’s 75 per cent, and Hong Kong it’s 71 per cent.

The brand’s top seller is the Womanizer Premium which will allow for women to masturbate more often, particularly if they have less access to their partner due to quarantine. “We-Vibe Chorus is already low in stock as people have shown increased interest during this time,’ Head of Sexual Empowerment at Womanizer said. “This could be due to the fact that the We-Connect app allows partners to control vibrations remotely, or for couples who are in work from home conditions together.”

One sex toy manufacturer is making dildos for a good cause. After sex workers raised money for Australia’s bushfire by sending nudes in exchange for donations to relief organizations, Geeky Sex Toys decided to get in on the action with an Australia bushfire-themed dildo. The $69 sex toy immediately went viral, with all proceeds going to help bushfire survivors.

“We had already donated a small amount of money personally but after seeing the situation here in Australia continue to worsen, we brainstormed ways to raise a larger amount,” said the CEO of the sex toy company. “We figured, our company Geeky Sex Toys is really good at designing and producing sex toys, so let’s make an Australian themed dildo with all the profits going to charity!” Proof again that sex sells!

24503004315_94fb07d7e3_zA man in the UK left an Amazon review for a sex toy that worked “so well” it “almost killed him.” In the review, he explained that he “didn’t have high hopes” for the toy, as it only cost £25.99. But when he used the clitoral stimulator on his girlfriend, her orgasm was so intense that she kicked him in the jaw and knocked him out – fearing she had killed him.

Nevertheless, the satisfied customer left the product a five star rating, and admitted that it was “a good toy” – but “should be used with riot gear.” The hilarious review was shared on Twitter and quickly racked up 1,000 likes and retweets, with one replying  “Omg that’s brilliant. Smart Sex Toy Is Finalist For 2020 CES Award

volcanoOne year after the Ose vibrator was banned from the Consumer Electronics Show for being “immoral, obscene and indecent,” another sex toy is a finalist for the annual award. This is the first year that sex technology products can qualify for awards or be showcased, following last year’s controversy that many called sexist. This year the Lioness smart vibrator is making history in the tech-focused CES 2020 show.

The Lioness smart vibrator, created by the Oakland, California startup, calls itself the first vibrator to use data, its patented biofeedback technology, to improve the user’s sexual experience. Lioness also says that it’s the first vibrator company to have public ads at bus stops across San Francisco. “We’re so happy to be officially launching at CES, who has invited sex tech companies to participate for the first time ever,” said Lioness Chief Executive and co-founder.

Nearly Half Of Americans Claim They Had The Best Sex Of Their Life In 2019

white-1822497_640Forty-four percent of people rate 2019 as their best year for sex yet—with 79 percent saying they are happy with their sex lives—according to new research. The poll of 2,000 sexually-active Americans also discovered nearly half (47 percent) say their sex life was better in 2019 than in 2018. This is because Americans were more interested in experimenting, with one in six trying phone sex and another 29 percent using a sex toy for the first time.

Participants were more adventurous with sex: they tried anal sex, handcuffs and blindfolds, and sexting for the first time. One in five had sex in a car for the very first time while another one in six engaged in roleplay. But just because 2019 was a great year for sex doesn’t mean Americans are going to stop experimenting in 2020: 74 percent of those surveyed are hoping to be more sexually adventurous next year.

The sex toy that made international headlines after winning the CES technology award can finally be tried at home. Osé, a massaging device which promises “blended orgasms,” was disqualified from the prestigious competition when CES organizers declared it “immoral”—but after much backlash, it was eventually declared the winner. The device promises “inside and out” climaxes, and the public can now experience what all the fuss is about.

Designed to “mimic the best kinds of human touch,” this joystick “combines a G-spot massager and clitoral mouth to arouse and stimulate both pleasure points simultaneously,” according to its product description. It has custom, adjustable controls, is waterproof, has a rechargeable battery and is made with medical grade silicone. Its creator dropped out of her pre-med program to develop the Osé after experiencing a blended orgasm for the first time.

Woman’s Sex Toy Causes Bomb Scare At Vienna Concert Hall

imageA sex toy sparked a terror alert at one of Vienna’s most famous music venues when it started vibrating inside a bag in the cloakroom. Armed officers together with a bomb squad team rushed to the Vienna Concert Hall where the vibrating bag was identified and examined for traces of explosives. The cloakroom attendant had been gathering cloaks and bags from music lovers at the posh Viennese concert hall, when they suddenly realized one of the bags was vibrating.

The attendant immediately called the police. After checking that there were no obvious signs of explosives using sensitive measuring equipment, they used an x-ray machine which revealed that there was a vibrator inside. The show went on and after it finished, the bag was returned to the man and his female companion by police, who informed them what had happened, and then wished them a “pleasant evening“.
