A consent monitor is a trained member of staff whose job is separate from standard security roles—their main aim is to monitor the welfare of guests at sex clubs. Speaking to VICE, a group of monitors revealed how they ensure everyone is sticking to pre-designated rules and “having fun.”

Policing sex has included interrupting BDSM scenes to check if everyone is happy to kicking out men for staring at groups of lesbians. One consent monitor revealed that the most common violation is people overstepping boundaries and going too far—citing one example where he threw a guy out for trying to initiate sex when only oral sex had been agreed to. On another occasion, he had to throw a man out because he grabbed a woman’s hair while she was “playing with another woman.”

Wild Sex Parties Are Driving A Colorado Community Crazy

Residents of the upscale community claim that a nearby home is being used as a venue for wild sex parties. Angry neighbors complain that they can hear “disturbing sounds” coming from the home, on top of parking issues and rowdy, drunk party-goers.

Neighbors said invitations to “Thunderstorm Play Palace” advertise a 7,500-square-foot home for swinger parties with alcohol, food and a chocolate fountain (though guests were politely asked to mind the new furniture). An online invitation for the event showed 400 guests invited with 87 people, including 35 couples, planning to attend, and an admission “donation” of $70 for couples and single men and $20 for solo women. The police department sided with the swinger, saying the host isn’t breaking any laws since the events are being held at his private residence and admission is by donation only.
