A 61-year-old woman has set up a sex shop specifically catering to people aged 50 and older in a bid to improve their sexual wellness. The online store, Sunset Satisfaction, is for people who might find traditional sex toys “too powerful.” The woman has devoted her recent years to creating greater awareness of sex amongst seniors and even hosts a sex podcast called Sex Advice for Seniors.

She said that the aim was to try and “keep it simple” and “not overwhelm” people with lots of products. “I was just overwhelmed by all the stuff that was out there, some of which were really too powerful,” she said. “We’ve got lots of books as well—a lot of books that I’ve read and would recommend because they’re really helpful when you’re trying to understand how to experience pleasure later in life.”

Seniors Are Buying Sex Toys After Risque Ad Campaign

Sex toys are “selling like hotcakes” among seniors after a risque promotional campaign advocated that “desire never retires.” A sex toy company in Australia deliberately targeted the demographic by offering them a 20 percent discount on pleasure devices with their Seniors Cards. The “Better With Age” campaign drove huge vans emblazoned with the phrase “Desire Never Retires” through retirement villages and past nursing homes.

The company also printed off 16-page brochures detailing its vast range of products and took out advertisements in local papers to deliberately “plug a hole in the market.” The promotional drive has reportedly seen a huge spike in sales among the seniors’ age category, with the company reporting an 11 percent rise in customers over 65. The company—which claims to be the first sex toy seller to offer a Seniors Card discount—was supported by a survey of 500 Australians aged over 65 which found that 1 in 3 are already comfortable using or discussing sex toys.

Seniors Caught Hooking Up In Connecticut Conservation Area

Cops have caught multiple elderly people hooking up in the open space, including a pair of 80-somethings. Six people—between the ages 62 and 85—were arrested and charged with breach of peace and public indecency.
