Religious People Have Higher Levels Of Sexual Satisfaction, Study Shows

A new study might entice more people to embrace their spiritual side. Researchers from the University of Exeter found that more religious people have higher sexual satisfaction—despite having less sex. “As religious individuals are less likely to engage in casual sex and are more likely to limit sexual activity to a relationship based on love this can lead to lower expectations of sexual activity outside a formal union, as well as increased satisfaction from sex life in general,” said co-author of the study.

Researchers found married women who were more religious reported higher sexual satisfaction than their less religious peers, though this was not the case for married men. The co-author said: “It is possible that religious sentiments about the sanctity of marital sex, as well as disapproval of sex outside marriage, matter more for women’s than for men’s sexual satisfaction.” He added, “Research suggests that changes in sexual behaviour need to be understood in a context of changes in religious norms and beliefs and other societal level trends.”

Study Finds Women Have Better Sex With Their Husbands Than Random Partners

pumpkinWomen have better sex with their husbands than one-night stands, a new study has revealed. The study by Florida University shows women are more likely to attain orgasm and be satisfied with their long-term partners than with a random fling. More than 1,000 women aged 18 to 71 were asked about their sex lives in the past year, and women in long-term relationships averaged 15 percent more orgasms than those who weren’t.

They also rated their sexual satisfaction as 10 percent higher than single women. In the Journal of Sex Research, lead scientist said: “On average, women experienced greater sexual outcomes in committed sex compared to casual sex.” They add, “Possible explanations are women need more sophisticated touching than just standard intercourse to reach climax.”

Majority Of Americans Agree Communicating Makes Sex More Satisfying

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_sex9A new study that examined the sexual pleasure habits and behaviors of 2,000 Americans found that a surprisingly high number are sexually satisfied in the bedroom. Although 62 percent agree the orgasm gap exists (meaning that women generally have fewer orgasms than men), the results may suggest Americans are getting better at speaking up and making sure they are satisfied in the bedroom. Sixty-eight percent of those studied revealed they have guided or spoken to their partner in an effort to maximize their satisfaction during sex.

Another 65 percent are happy guiding their partner to help them reach orgasm while a further 60 percent are unafraid to give their partner feedback if it means increasing their sexual satisfaction. Not only that, but nearly half have used sex toys to maximize pleasure. “Ladies who are comfortable telling their partners what they like, and those who enjoy pleasing themselves will definitely benefit from adding to their sex routine a sex toy that buzzes, pulses, tingles or even licks or sucks (in a good way). This may help us close the so-called ‘orgasm gap’ and eliminate bad sex.”
