San Francisco Resumes Famous Gay Leather Festival

A gay leather kink festival in San Francisco is finally back after a pandemic hiatus. The famous street fair called “Dore Alley” or “Up Your Alley,” is a leather and fetish event that is commonly compared to to the Folsom Street Fair—California’s third-largest single-day and outdoor spectator event—as well as the world’s largest leather event and showcase for BDSM products and culture. Kinky games and street vendors selling leather apparel including chokers, collars, whips and bondage kits are common at the venue, which mostly attracts gay men out of any demographic.

A sound stage was also set up for festival-goers to get sweaty dancing in their leather gear. “I like to think of it as the biggest leather block party,” the Executive Director said. In 2020, both the Up Your Alley Fair and Folsom were canceled as a result of the pandemic—so this year, the festival was more spread out than usual to allow people to safely roam around.

San Francisco Hosts World’s Biggest Fetish Fair

feet-1095408_1280The Folsom Street Fair is back again, bringing 250,000 fetish enthusiasts from all over the world to San Francisco to celebrate all things kink. The annual event that promises “something for everyone” aims to increase awareness and positivity around BDSM, and to raise funds for groups like the National AIDS Memorial. Participants show up clad in their kinkiest fetish gear—while many chose to wear no clothes at all!

More than 200 booths display fetish gear and toys for participants to check out, along with live BDSM demos, and a “sick and twisted performance stage.” NY Post reports, “One BDSM exhibit featured spanking benches and suspension frames where participants could be tied up and dangled. At another exhibit a few feet away, a man wearing just a kilt and a dog mask spanked a topless woman who was chained to a cross.” This year, the fetish fest puts special emphasis on educating about consent in BDSM.

Porn Stars Lament the Loss of Kink’s Legendary Armory

Peter Acworth, founder and CEO of the BDSM porn empire Kink.com, has just announced “the end of an era.” In February, Kink actors will do their final shoot in the world-famous San Francisco Armory, the historic castle-like building that’s also a popular destination for tourists and porn enthusiasts. The Kink.com studio is just another unfortunate casualty of the rapidly gentrifying city, which has made it financially impossible for Acworth to continue production in the Armory.

Although Kink.com will continue to provide content to subscribers, porn actors are lamenting the closure of the porn studio that, as the Guardian explains, “elevated the profile of fetish entertainment and BDSM and provided stable jobs and a safe workplace for LGBT people and sex workers.” Over the years, the national landmark held tours, workshops and other porn events, as well as made it their mission to “demystify and celebrate alternative sexualities by providing the most ethical and authentic kinky adult entertainment.” Ultimately, the proliferation of free porn made it impossible for Kink to stay afloat in San Francisco—but the Armory’s kinky legacy will live on.

The Secret Life of One Man’s Cock

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_lab_penisHave you ever wondered if your dick has a secret life all its own? And, if so, what types of crazy shenanigans it gets into when you’re not paying attention? Well, one photographer from San Francisco wondered this very thing, and started a strange and wonderful Tumblr called “Things My Dick Does” to investigate (check out the images below). “I’ve always wondered what my dick does in the times he is up before I am,” the photographer writes in his Tumblr’s intro. “He must get so bored waiting for me to wake up. Happens EVERY day. Poor little guy.”

The man—who’s chosen to remain anonymous—told the Huffington Post that the pictures began as humorous sexts and progressed to a series that explored such things as what his “Little Dude” did for Halloween, or while baking a cake, and even making friends with a stuffed hedgehog! In the Halloween picture, his cock is dressed up as a mummy: “So we have been trying on some costumes and he wanted to start off with a classic! “Mummy! Can I go out and…” he jokes. Later, his cock makes a new friend with an adorable hedgehog: “He was a little skeptical at first. But then he warmed up to the idea of having a cuddle buddy. These two are so cute together! Dawwww.”

Fetish Porn Studio To Open First Erotic Haunted House

12079514_1881665755392505_1068448069717541158_nKink.com decided to open its dungeon to all the naughty adults who are more into Halloween tricks than they are treats. Since Kink.com is the largest producer of BDSM and fetish porn, the company figured they would combine titillation with terror by opening the first ever erotic haunted house. It’s taking place in the San Francisco Armory where they shoot their porn films—which, as it so happens, is actually haunted in real life!

Kink.com says, “The two emotions, fear and sex, are inextricably linked. We wanted to play off that and offer people a truly old school scare in an unexpected setting.” The haunted house has eight sets with various characters and scenarios, including a deranged doctor (you can probably expect some light torture), a bad, bad dominatrix, a voodoo queen, and even a naked vampiress who, if you’re lucky, will lick your face. And, of course, there will be blindfolding, tight spaces, strangers touching you, and lots of other kinky surprises!

In the mood for some naughty fun yourself? We’ve got tricks and treats right here!

Kink Is Out and Proud at Legendary Queer Street Parade

ff-posterA new documentary called “Folsom Forever” chronicles the history of San Francisco’s legendary gay pride parade that celebrates the right of queers and kinksters everywhere to explore their sexuality out in the open. Even though it now seems like the leather-bound parade was always just about the kink, the film shows that the event was much more than just a scene for exhibitionists. The documentary focuses on the historically gay-friendly neighborhood the Castro in the 1970s, when “Folsom Street was the West Coast’s mecca for anyone on their leather journey in life.”

During the time when the fair originated, the queers in the Castro were being pushed out of their neighborhoods by developers who wanted to “bulldoze buildings and sex businesses — like the bathhouses — being closed by the city in misguided AIDS hysteria.” This is why the parade has always been “an expression of human rights, be it the right to low-cost housing or to willingly be flogged without fear of arrest.” San Francisco in the ’70s was a time when queer people were able to fully explore and celebrate their sexuality. That’s why today, members of the LGBT community and kinksters alike flock to the Folsom Street Parade with whips, chains, leather, and more to really celebrate sexual expression and freedom.

Right on! Want to celebrate all things kinky and leather-bound with us? Three cheers for sexual freedom and expression!
