Deepfakes is a phenomenon that started on Reddit and quickly spread to places like 4chan and GIF-sharing site Gfycat.

Since Pornhub recently banned deepfakes, celebrity porn creators have been looking for new places to showcase their scandalous wares. It only took a day before Twitter shut down deepfakes on its site, even though the legality of fake celebrity porn is still unclear. While the porn raises concerns about non-consensual posting of sexual images, it’s ultimately up to websites to decide how they want to handle it.
