Pornhub Is Banned On YouTube

YouTube said it terminated Pornhub’s channel, which was used as a marketing tool, over “multiple violations” by linking to sites that host content not allowed by its community guidelines. Pornhub’s parent company, MindGeek, is not taking the removal lightly and “vehemently denied” YouTube’s claims that it linked to porn sites. Pornhub’s removal on YouTube is just one of many in the past few years—Mastercard and Visa cut payments from the adult content firm, and Instagram banned it most recently permanently.

Pornhub had nearly 900,000 subscribers before it was pulled from YouTube. The porn mega-site said in a statement: “Pornhub maintains the absolute best trust and safety measures on the internet and takes special care to ensure it does not violate any of YouTube’s Community Guidelines.” They added, “Unfortunately, this is just the latest example of discrimination against those in the adult industry.”

Pornhub Reveals Most Popular 2022 Searches

According to Pornhub, the kinky category saw a 75% increase in viewers, with the company stating that their top searches are “often influenced by pop culture and other worldwide events.” Floridian Abella Danger rose up the ranks to become America’s most popular porn star of 2022, overtaking last year’s most-searched, Lana Rhoades, who fell to second place. America was still the country with the highest daily traffic to Pornhub, while the United Kingdom came second, followed by France, Japan, Mexico and Italy.

NYC Congressional Candidate Mike Itkis Trending On Pornhub

NYC congressional candidate Mike Itkis is polling well with one group. After releasing his XXX video to promote his “sex positive” platform, the politician is now trending on Pornhub. According to Pornhub’s communications team, there were over 700,000 recent searches for “Mike Itkis” and “Nicole Sage.” Itkis said his rise on the popular porn site is evidence his platform of pro-sex policies will be hard to beat this November. “It is definitive proof that the political issues I’m bringing up are relevant to a lot of people in our country,” Itkis said.

A video game character is currently one of Pornhub’s most popular searches. Shortly after the long-awaited Overwatch 2 dropped, one of the game’s female heroes, D.Va, has found a new audience on the porn site. The character temporarily outranked adult film stars like Valerie Kay or Nina Kayy.

The searches lead to XXX videos of either live actresses dressed up like the character or of manipulated CGI clips of the character having sex, made by third parties. The sequel has been quite popular on the site since its release, with videos featuring look-a-likes of other female characters Brigitte and Ashe also showing up. Last year, D.Va came in at number two for top searched video games character, shortly behind Lara Croft, who stole the top spot.

Pornhub Claims Meta Allows Kim Kardashian’s Nudes While ‘Censoring’ Sex Workers

Pornhub is calling out Instagram and Meta for their contradictory enforcement of the no-nudity policy. The porn mega-site and a group of sex workers claim that Instagram tolerates racy pictures from celebrities like Kim Kardashian while unfairly “censoring” the porn industry. The group accused Instagram in a letter of doing “violent and profoundly damaging” harm to the porn industry by selectively enforcing its content moderation rules.

“We demand an explanation and guidance as to why our accounts are continuously deleted, and why content we spend money creating in order to engage with our audience is removed, even when we do not breach any of Instagram’s rules,” Pornhub and the porn stars wrote. The letter comes weeks after Instagram permanently disabled Pornhub’s official account, which had more than 13 million followers. Though Pornhub claims that it never violated Instagram’s community guidelines, a Meta spokesperson said that Pornhub had repeatedly violated the app’s rule against “sexual solicitation,” which the spokesperson said includes encouraging users to leave Instagram and visit a porn site.

Another year, another Pornhub review revealing America’s X-rated viewing habits. The most popular search term across the United States was “hentai”—a type of Japanese anime. Fantasy was a theme: “The Suicide Squad” anti-hero Harley Quinn was the most-searched movie franchise or character, followed by Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, “Star Wars” and Black Widow.
