Company Hiring 10 Lucky People $1K To Masturbate

A sex toy company is offering to pay people $1,000 to masturbate as part of their market research. Lovehoney is recruiting ten members to join its new Orgasm Advisory Board, where members will test out and advise on new sex toys. The chosen panel will receive $1,000 for a year’s service and a monthly package of sex toys worth up to $250.

The lucky ten will review the sex toys they are sent every month, participate in focus groups, fill out surveys, and create branded content to share online. Lovehoney’s resident sexual wellness advisor said: “We created the Orgasm Advisory Board to increase our connection with consumers.” They added, “we wanted to take our recruitment initiative to the streets, meet people where they are and educate them about the benefits of masturbation.”

Sex Workers Say Wells Fargo Shut Their Bank Accounts

Sex workers took to Twitter to slam Wells Fargo for inexplicably terminating their bank accounts. An adult performer who is also the president of the Adult Performance Artists’ Guild (APAG) said in a tearful Twitter video: “I don’t bounce checks, I’ve never done anything bad with my bank account, I don’t have fraud alerts or do chargebacks.” She read a letter that she received from Wells Fargo informing her that after a 30-year banking relationship, her account would be discontinued.

“A bank that I’ve done business with for 30 years decided that I’m not worthy of a relationship with them,” she said, adding: “How am I supposed to pay my bills? How am I supposed to get paid?” In the letter, the bank stated that it “performs ongoing reviews of its account relationships in connection with the Bank’s responsibilities to manage risks in its banking operations.” Many other high-profile sex workers—including a married couple who jointly run the Las Vegas-based pornographic production company YummyGirl Studios—also told Rolling Stone magazine that they, too, were informed by Wells Fargo that their account would be decommissioned.

Sex Workers Are Feeling The Pinch Of The Sluggish Economy

The plunging economy has been hard on one particular sector—sex workers. They say that decades-high inflation has forced their clients to cut back on discretionary spending, which has meant extreme drops in income. OnlyFans performers have seen their incomes drop by as much as 50%.

“My traffic has been down a lot,” one model said. “I’m working harder than I have ever been.” Other OnlyFans models said they have noticed similar trends, with one saying “My whale tippers haven’t been online as often and I’m getting more freeloaders on my page.” Reddit forums frequented by sex workers who service clients at brothels said they have seen their workload decrease significantly in recent weeks: “I just sat at the broth for 6 hours with 0 clients,” one anonymous sex worker wrote on Reddit.

Nurse-Turned-Porn-Star Creates Crypto-Friendly XXX Site

A former nurse who made more than $1 million last year after she left her job to pursue a career as a virtual sex worker on OnlyFans says she’s creating her own platform for erotic performers who will be accepting payments in cryptocurrency. She quit her job as a nurse after her co-workers and bosses discovered that she had an account on OnlyFans. When given an ultimatum to delete the account or get fired, she chose to leave her job and focus solely on OnlyFans, where she said she earned almost $369,000 for each month she was on the site.

But now she’s leaving OnlyFans to officially launch her own XXX site, an OnlyFans-esque adult entertainment space that will process payments in cryptocurrency—meaning the identities of performers and customers will be more easily shielded. Consumers of erotic content can make purchases from their favorite online performers using digital stable coins, including Binance USD, ethereum, tether, dai, BNB, and AVAX. She explained, “I wanted to create a platform where sex workers can grow their business long-term without the fear of having to worry about big payment processors.”

Women Who Make More Money Than Their Partner Are Twice As Likely To Fake Orgasms

It seems women might be “leaning in” to having successful careers—at the expense of their sex lives. A recent study found that women who make more money than their male partner are twice as likely to fake an orgasm. Women fear that men who earn less may have a “fragile sense of masculinity,” due to the long-held stereotype that men are the primary breadwinners.

As a result, researchers believe women try to alleviate the man’s financial insecurity and boost their ego by faking orgasms during sex. “Women are prioritizing what they think their partners need over their own sexual needs and satisfaction,” said the study’s lead author. “When society creates an impossible standard of masculinity to maintain, nobody wins,” they add.

Cop Paid $30K To Leave Force After Colleagues Discover OnlyFans Account

A former cop claimed she was forced to quit after her colleagues discovered that she had a secret OnlyFans account. “I was in shock and panicking because I never wanted these two parts of my life to collide,” she said of her resignation, in which she reportedly received a $30,000 severance package to leave the force. The ex-cop—reportedly a 28-year police veteran—had apparently started moonlighting on the porn platform to spice up her sex life with her husband and also to decompress from her demanding job.

“My personal sex life was entirely separate and never affected my ability to do my job,” she said, adding that she “felt like my bosses were policing my bedroom.” She explained, “A lot of the material my husband and I shared is stuff we’d taken in our private sex life over the years. I was working up to 60-hour weeks, so mostly my husband ran the page and shared my pictures, and then sometimes we’d have fun dressing me up and taking photos especially to share.” She lamented, “I felt I was a really good police officer and felt pushed out of a really good career because of prudishness.”

Deal On Morning After Pill Ignites Campaign To Make It More Affordable

ALEXA FONTANILLA / AGGIE

A Black Friday deal has sparked outrage over the exorbitant price of emergency contraception. On Black Friday, UK pharmacy chain Boots slashed the price of emergency contraception, giving it a 50 percent discount. The deal, which was brought to people’s attention by a tweet, has since prompted the launch of a campaign to make the morning after pill more affordable and accessible.

Campaigners are urging Boots to do the right thing and permanently reduce the price of the morning after pill to £8—Boots are charging between £15.99 and £56.50. Journalist Rose Stokes—who tweeted about the Black Friday deal and who’s running the campaign—said that Boots have not responded to the calls to make emergency contraception more accessible “suggesting they are continuing to prioritise profit over the needs of people who might really need this critical medication.” Stokes says, “For too long women and people with wombs have had to pay a sexist surcharge on basic healthcare items, Boots has an opportunity to lead the way on correcting this. I hope they take it.”

OnlyFans Seeks $1 Billion To Pivot From Porn

OnlyFans is reportedly going for a G-rating instead of XXX. OnlyFans says it wants to shed its reputation as a platform for porn in a deal that values the company at more than $1 billion. The London-based company, which is currently mostly used for adult entertainment, wants the help of mainstream backers who can help it to appeal to a wide range of celebrities and athletes—and so far, it has drawn celebrities including star boxer Floyd Mayweather, actress Bella Thorne and rappers Cardi B and Chris Brown.

It’s not clear why the company wants to get out of the smut business, but hosting more mainstream content on its platform could help attract premium advertisers. Despite the company’s impressive profits, OnlyFans may have trouble attracting investment from traditional venture capital investors. Venture capital firms often have agreements with investors that prevent them from investing in “vice” industries including porn, alcohol, firearms that they worry can harm their reputation.
