Lily James Defends ‘Essential’ Pam & Tommy Sex Scenes

Lily James understands the secret to Pam & Tommy‘s success: sex. James is defending the steamy sex scenes in her new series about Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s infamous sex tape. The actress insists they are “essential” to the script of the eight-part drama Pam & Tommy.

In one racy scene, the pair are shown laughing and spraying champagne all over each other’s naked bodies. She said in a recent interview: “We really felt that the sex scenes had to be a part of the story and had to be essential to the script and progressing their relationship and looking at what happened.” Pam & Tommy follows the story of the leak of the couple’s sex tape in 1997, and the fall out for the sex symbol and her rocker lover when their X-rated moments spread across the world.

New Series Features Trans Sex Worker Who Became A Spanish Star

Veneno is a new series on HBOMax based on real events of a trans sex worker who became a Spanish media sensation. The show follows the lives of Cristina La Veneno Ortiz Rodriguez and a young journalism student, who would go on to co-write the memoir that serves as the basis for the series, Not a Whore, Not a Saint: The Memories of la Veneno. In the ‘90s, Veneno was a trans sex worker with infamously huge tits—until she is discovered by a TV reporter for a late-night show called Esta Noche Cruzamos El Mississippi.

The reporter sees Veneno as someone who can bring shock value to the show, but Veneno and her friends know that she is a star in the making. The one-time TV appearance becomes the start of a cultural shift in Spain’s understanding of trans women. Unfortunately, the Spanish media chewed her up and spit her out, which the show uncovers throughout the eight episode series.
