OnlyFans Taps Ex-Porn Star Mia Khalifa To Promote ‘Safe For Work App’

OnlyFans is launching an exclusively “safe for work” app on Apple and Google devices—and tapped an ex-porn star to help promote it. Former adult actress Mia Khalifa has a series of free interview videos on OnlyFans’ new app, called “OFTV,” which supposedly is part of the company’s plan to distance itself from its image as a porn platform. The app also features Bella Thorne—who got a lot of backlash after opening a no-nudity OnlyFans account last year—along with other risque content like a podcast called “Coffee and Cleavage.”

“I just don’t get who they think their audience is going to be,” wrote one Twitter user. “Nobody’s going to go out of their way to watch non-adult content by adult content creators.” Another deemed OFTV “the O’Douls of video services.” OFTV has been available on Apple devices—but OnlyFans has not promoted it publicly until now.

Mia Khalifa Is Auctioning Her Infamous Porn Glasses

Mia Khalifa is auctioning her “infamous” glasses from her porn days to raise funds for Lebanon following the deadly explosion in her birth city. Khalifa said on TikTok that her “heart breaks for Lebanon” and “Our only access to food, medicine, anything is through our port, which is now destroyed.” Khalifa explained, “Lebanon needs all the help it can get right now.”

To support her home country, Khalifa is auctioning the pair of black-framed glasses from her porn videos. The glasses, which Khalifa is auctioning on eBay, is currently going for $100,000, and all of the proceeds will go directly to the Lebanese Red Cross. Khalifa wrote on Instagram, “Fuck it, there are no rules anymore. 100k and I’ll throw in my retainer.”

In 2014 Mia Khalifa made world news when she received death threats from ISIS after appearing in an adult film wearing a hijab. Her infamous hijab scene — which was still garnering ISIS threats as of August 2018 — is what ultimately made Khalifa leave the business.
