Playgirl Sold Out Of Its First Relaunched Issue

Playgirl is back and better than ever. The mag returned to newsstands this month and like the original that debuted in 1973, it quickly sold out. Playgirl is still doing nude male pics, of course, but are also updating to capture the enlightened feminist appeal of the mags early years, which included writers like Maya Angelou, Gloria Steinem and Joyce Carol Oates.

For the debut issue, a nude and very pregnant Chloë Sevigny graces the cover. The new Playgirl debuted with fewer than 10,000 copies in major US cities and London before selling out and going back to press—by contrast the original Playgirl at its peak in the mid-to-late 70s had been selling 1.5 million copies. Playgirl says their mission is “looking at female power in a different way. It’s the idea of entertainment for women with a broad lens, looking at sex, gender, politics, culture, art, literature, relationships–looking at all the things that make life fun.”

Dolly Parton Wants To Be On The Cover Of Playboy

Dolly Parton wants Playboy to give her a memorable 75th birthday—by putting her on the cover. Parton told 60 Minutes Australia that she’d like to revisit the cover of Playboy for her 75th birthday, having graced it several decades ago. “I just turned 74. I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” she said.

“See, I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it’d be such a hoot if they go for it, I don’t know if they will… if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.” Wearing the iconic Playboy bunny outfit and ears, Dolly Parton appeared on the cover of the October 1978 issue of Playboy, becoming the first country singer to pose for the magazine. Dolly wouldn’t be the first Playboy bunny to pose for the magazine many years later—Jane Seymour, who is 69, was recently featured looking sexy as ever. Come on, Playboy—give Dolly what she wants for her birthday!

Hugh Hefner’s Copy Of Marilyn Monroe’s Playboy Is Up For Auction

Hugh Hefner’s legacy lives on in the form of one of his most prized possessions: the original Playboy with Marilyn Monroe on the cover. The auction site Julien’s is selling off Hefner’s personal copy of the first-ever issue of Playboy featuring a nude Marilyn Monroe, and it’s expected to sell for anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000. Monroe first posed nude for the photos in 1949 “when she was desperate for a $50 paycheck.”

Several years later, Hefner bought the photos for $500 and published them in 1953 in the first issue of Playboy. The issue sold almost 50,000 copies and helped launch his empire. Not surprisingly, before Hefner died, he purchased the crypt next to Monroe’s for $75,000, and said, “I will be spending the rest of my eternity with Marilyn.”

Penthouse Sold At Auction To Online Porn Company For $11.2 Million

The owners of more than 43 porn sites, including Bang Bros, won the auction to take over Penthouse. The porn company outbid Pornhub, Hustler, and Dream Media for a cool $11.2 million. They now own the assets of Penthouse Global Media, which includes all the X-rated back content of the magazine, whose most recent cover features porn star Stormy Daniels.

Penthouse declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy recently, only two years after a group bought the title and resurrected the print edition. The 53-year-old magazine was founded originally to be a more explicit hardcore version of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy, and at its peak, Penthouse sold more than 5 million copies a month to Playboy’s peak of 7 million. “With the company debt-free, we are ready to grow,” said the former Chief Executive who plans to stay on under the new owners. “The new owners are committed to maintaining the four business units — publishing, broadcast, licensing and digital,” she added.

Sports Illustrated Is Phasing Out Swimsuits and Opting For All Nude

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_hotgirl2Sports Illustrated seems to think swimsuits are a thing of the past. In their latest issues, Twitter and Facebook photos, a swimsuit is harder to spot than a misplaced hair on one of their perfect models. You can see a nude photo of Samantha Hoopes right now on SI Swimsuit’s Twitter page (check out more nude pics below).

In a few pictures where there actually is a bathing suit, its completely sheer or fishnet with the model’s breasts completely exposed. In one captioned “sexy French teacher of your dreams,” the model bends over so that just the water covers her nipples. There’s even bottomless pics, with sand perfectly covering the model’s pussy. With SI these days, it seems nude is the new swimsuit!

Playboy Has Gone Back To Nudity

6158989304_6606729f1e_mIt seemed like the end of an era when Playboy announced that its January/February 2016 issue featuring Pamela Anderson on the cover would be the final one with full frontal nudity. The first no-nude issue featured a model who was sexting, in a technically nude spread, with her hands strategically placed over her nipples and crotch. Well recently, Hugh Hefner’s son, Cooper, has complained about Playboy’s new direction, and as the latest chief creative officer, it’s been his mission to abolish the no-nude policy.

Apparently, eliminating nudity made it easier to sell Playboy in stores, but the decision caused subscription sales to plummet. The March/April issue is aptly titled “Naked Is Normal,” and the magazine is promising—you guessed it—lots and lots of nudity. Cooper said in a statement, “I’ll be the first to admit the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake. Nudity was never the problem, because nudity isn’t a problem. Today, we’re taking our identity back and rediscovering who we are.” Perhaps Playboy’s attempts at rebranding is pointless—nudity will always be in style!

Introducing The First Feminist Porn Magazine

Copy-of-Stripper_on_a_Pole_svgFrom the outside, you might think Math Magazine is a sexy looking academic journal. But on the inside, you’ll find an erotic porn magazine hiding in plain sight. It’s the creation of editor-in-chief MacKenzie Peck, who wanted to make a progressive porn publication that was ethical, inclusive, and sexy as hell. “Readers can still have the discovery, the surprise, even that sense of taboo,” Peck said. “But with the knowledge that everything was produced in collaboration with models and using the most ethical practices.”

Another goal of the magazine was to represent a diversity of body types and sex acts, while keeping things nasty: “One of my main focuses is maintaining a high level of quality while continuing to push boundaries in terms of kink and sexuality and unrepresented groups,” said Peck. The second issue of Math embodies these goals perfectly, with a photograph of an elderly couple making out, a fuck fest between three men, and a BDSM sequence involving ropes, harnesses and spankings. At the end of the day, what Peck really wants is for people to get off: “It should inspire you to have an encounter with it, or with someone. Or masturbate.”

Want to get nasty yourself? We can give you all the inspiration you need here!

This Woman’s Making History as Penthouse’s First Plus-Sized Model

Kelly Shibari is redefining beauty in adult entertainment one sexy spread at a time. She is 43-years-old, half-Asian, full-figured, and now making history as Penthouse’s first plus-sized model. She represents a welcome change in the adult film industry, switching up the typical “conventional” models seen in magazines like Penthouse who are usually white, thin, and young. Shibari was initially nervous about adding a plus-sized model to Penthouse in case “people are going to be like, ‘Ugh, I’m never going to buy the magazine again.'”

But now she feels positive about her feature in the famous magazine: “I think that the way things have been going the past few years, with size acceptance and more plus-sized men and women being in the mainstream spotlight as well as in adult entertainment, I think that the reception will be good,” she said. Her growing fanbase proves that a wide demographic of people are looking for more diverse porn stars. You can check out the voluptuous, sexy adult film actress featured in the December issue, alongside two skinny models in a side-show inspired spread.
