NYC Judge Rules Polyamorous Couples Entitled To Same Legal Protections

An opinion from New York City’s eviction court has come down on the side of polyamorous unions. The ruling stated that polyamorous relationships are entitled to the same sort of legal protection given to two-person relationships. The case involved a poly couple who’s building owner claimed the third person in the relationship had no right to renew the lease because he was a “non-traditional family member.”

In her decision, the judge highlighted the importance of a previous case and asserted that the existence of a triad—no matter how they got along—should not automatically dismiss the third person’s claim to non-eviction protections. “Why does a person have to be committed to one other person in only certain prescribed ways in order to enjoy stability in housing after the departure of a loved one?” she asked. “Do all nontraditional relationships have to comprise or include only two primary persons?”

Couple Caught Having Sex Multiple Times In Courthouse

A young couple who had public sex three times in a courtroom foyer has been sentenced for their “outrageous behavior.” About 9.40 a.m., the couple was captured on CCTV in the public waiting area of the courthouse—where the woman who was due to appear in court that day straddled her boyfriend, a police prosecutor said. The pair then began to fuck, with the woman caught on camera lifting her skirt, sitting on her partner and moving up and down on his lap.

The court was told the couple stopped what they were doing after they were approached by security, and the woman got off her boyfriend who attempted to cover himself. “The security officer left the area, and [the man] then exposed his penis again and [the woman] adjusted his penis under her skirt, she then sat on his lap, facing away and again started moving up and down on his lap, appearing to again engage in sexual intercourse,” prosecutors said. Notorious Nevada Brothel ‘Love Ranch’ Hits The Market At $1.2M

The infamous Love Ranch, a Nevada brothel where former NBA star and Khloe Kardashian’s then-husband Lamar Odom made headlines, is up for sale. Before becoming a famed brothel known for its “Viagra Parties,” it was a nudist ranch for 18 years. Its owner Dennis Hof bought the brothel in 2010 and ran it until his death in 2018, where he was found by porn star Ron Jeremy.

The Louvre Is Suing Pornhub For Alleged X-Rated Art Theft

Pornhub is facing legal action from the Louvre and other institutions over a new interactive website in which porn stars perform XXX re-enactments of various European masterpieces. New Proposed Legislation Could Be The End Of Internet Porn

A proposed bill could be the end of internet porn, critics say. The Stopping Internet Sexual Exploitation Act (SISEA) has been filed by a member of Canada’s Parliament. SISEA is basically the exact same legislation proposed by a member of Congress earlier this year. 

Both pieces of legislation are written so broadly that they could have the arguably unintended effect of shuttering sites like Pornhub and OnlyFans, and making it difficult to impossible for many sex workers to make a living. While the bill is Canadian, it has the potential of affecting sex workers and porn companies all over the world. Anyone who violates Canada’s SISEA would be subject to heavy fines and possible incarceration: for failing to obtain written consent to distribute the porn, companies can be fined up to $20,000 (Canadian dollars) for a first offense; $100,000 for the second; and $200,000 for the third.

South Koreans Petition To Ban Import of Life-Size Sex Dolls

Nearly a quarter-million South Koreans have signed a petition to ban the importing of life-size sex dolls, passing a threshold that requires the president to respond. While sex dolls are not illegal in South Korea, government customs agencies had blocked their import under a law that restricts materials that “corrupt public morals.” However, the Seoul High Court said that sex dolls were for personal use and should be treated differently than pornography, which is heavily restricted under South Korean law.

The unidentified author of the petition argued that an influx of imported sex dolls could lead to an increase in sex crimes. The author of the petition also said that the customizable features of some dolls could be used to create copies of real people, a concern that challengers to the petition dismissed as unfounded. As of right now, many individuals are forced to travel overseas to Japan and China to bring back dolls, which can cost anywhere from 1 million won ($840) to 20 million won ($16,750), depending on the doll.
