New Sexting Study Explores Why Women Send Nudes

A survey conducted by the University of Nebraska asked women why they send nudes, eliciting a complex range of responses on the subject. Some women say they send the sexy shots as a power move: “I wanted to exert a sense of power over the men I sent nudes to; I could make them desire me and they would do anything to get a picture,” one participant said. Still others said the sultry sharing was simply “to feel sexually aroused.”

“Pressure” was one response, as was “being repeatedly asked for it until you gave in,” along with lighter answers such as “to be fun or flirtatious” and “as a sexy present for someone.” But the most common—selected by 35.3%—was “relationship norm expectation.” The study’s authors say, “We find that women are not thoughtlessly sending images of their bodies to others, but rather are acutely aware of their motivations.”

Pornhub Reveals Most Popular 2022 Searches

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—Pornhub has just released the most popular XXX searches of 2022! The company released the dirty data, revealing that “lesbian” was the most searched term across the frisky 50 states, with “hentai” following close behind. Meanwhile, the words “blowjob,” “cosplay” and “trans” also saw considerable search growth in 2022, while “transgender” exploded in popularity to become America’s fourth most-viewed category overall.

According to Pornhub, the kinky category saw a 75% increase in viewers, with the company stating that their top searches are “often influenced by pop culture and other worldwide events.” Floridian Abella Danger rose up the ranks to become America’s most popular porn star of 2022, overtaking last year’s most-searched, Lana Rhoades, who fell to second place. America was still the country with the highest daily traffic to Pornhub, while the United Kingdom came second, followed by France, Japan, Mexico and Italy.

Butt Plugs Were Originally Sold As Miracle Cure For Headaches

Some interesting XXX history: in 1940, butt plugs were marketed as a headache remedy. “First warm dilator in warm water; then lubricate outside of dilator with Dr Young’s Piloment (or if it is not available, with vaseline) and while in a squatting position—or while lying on the side with knees drawn up—gently insert in the rectum as far as the flange or rim,” the instructions read. Dr. Young advised users to gradually work their way up the largest size—the “Extra Length” dilator number five, which was more than an inch and a half (3.8 centimeters) thick—and keep it in for at least 10 minutes, or up to an hour for best results.

The product also claimed the butt plugs could give a more refreshing sleep, relieve foul breath and bad tastes in the mouth, sallow skin, acne, anemia, lassitude, mental hebetude, insomnia, anorexia, headaches, indigestion, nervousness, irritability, and cold extremities. In a court case with an extremely pleasing name—U.S. v. 67 Sets of Dr. Young’s Rectal Dilators and 83 Packages of Dr. Young’s Piloment—the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ruled that not only were the claims not backed up by evidence, but that the device “would be dangerous to health when used with the frequency and duration prescribed, recommended, or suggested in the labeling.” The products were ordered to be destroyed before they even found out that Dr Young had also claimed in a medical journal that the rubber sex toys would be effective in curing insanity.
