NYC Offers Free Home Delivery Of Condoms, Lube On National Sex Day

City Department of Health officials are offering free home delivery of condoms, lube and HIV self-test kits to New Yorkers during the coronavirus crisis. “Even during a global pandemic, sex remains an important part of overall health and well-being for many people,” said assistant commissioner for the Health Department’s Bureau of HIV. The announcement was made on 6/9—National Sex Day.

“As New Yorkers have had to adapt to the realities of the pandemic, so have the Health Department’s service models. Door 2 Door and the Community Home Test Giveaway Virtual Program will allow New Yorkers to access sexual health services from the comfort and safety of their own homes,” the assistant commissioner said. New Yorkers can order free condoms ranging in size and style including NYC Legend XL and Extreme Ribs by visiting nyc.gov/condoms. “Products come in multiples of 30 and are delivered in discreetly packaged envelopes. Orders are limited to two products at a time, and one order per individual every 30 days, while supplies last,” according to a Health Department press release.

Couples Should Wear Face Masks During Sex, Study Says

It seems condoms aren’t the only thing necessary for safe sex these days. A new study from researchers at Harvard University says that hooking up carries some risk for transmitting COVID-19 from one partner to the other and recommends — among other practices — wearing a face mask while doin’ it. The safest approach to sexual activity, according to the researchers, is not having any.

They add masturbation is the best bet. But if you are going out of the house to fuck, the study says, besides keeping your mask on, you should avoid kissing, any oral-to-anal act and anything else that involves semen or urine. Researchers also advise showering before and after, and cleaning the space with alcohol wipes or soap.

Man’s 12-Hour Erection Possibly Caused By Too Much Weed

It turns out toking up might mean you can’t get it down. A man was recently treated twice in one month for prolonged erections that may have been caused by marijuana use. The first time the man’s boner lasted 12 hours after getting high; two weeks later it lasted for six hours.

Doctors diagnosed the man with priapism, or an erection that lasts more than four hours and is not related to sexual activity. The care-giving team said the otherwise-healthy man admitted to getting high several nights per week, which included a two-hour period of getting those tough-to-soften hard-ons. “Marijuana is a vasodilator so it could lead to over-dilation of the penile vessels,” says a urologist. They add, “Everything here is hypothetical until validated by research.”

Indiana University’s ‘SexFest’ Features BDSM Safety And Sex Toys

feet-1095408_1280Indiana University is bringing sex positivity to campus with its fifth annual SexFest, an event organized by student-run Sexual Health Advocacy Group. The school is hosting several events and demonstrations throughout the week, including a BDSM Safety Panel that will feature “personal stories from individuals who practice BDSM.” The BDSM panel even includes BDSM practitioners explaining and demonstrating proper technique for flogging.

Other events include “Kick-off to Kink,” which focuses on a “discussion about desire and communication” and includes an appearance from a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Another event features a “Kink Workshop” where people are able to “browse educational booths demonstrating the use of different sex toys.” Indiana University says, “Our public health researchers have found some evidence to suggest that people are engaging in a broader range of sexual activities and as a result, it is the IU Health Center’s mission to make sure they practice it safely, following the BDSM community’s principal tenets of ‘safe, sane, and consensual.’”

Sex Tech Dominated CES 2020

71xB2L7SEiL._SY450_One year after CES banned and revoked the Innovation Award in Robotics given to Lora DiCarlo’s women’s pleasure device, the Consumer Technology Association officially agreed to allow sex tech onto the show floor—and sex tech companies didn’t disappoint. Innovations from the sexual health and wellness category breathed new life into CES, and helped to destigmatize sexual wellness. There was “Satisfyer,” making some of the greatest advancements in women’s pleasure unimaginably affordable and accessible.

“Morari Medical” showed off a wearable prototype that uses neuromodulation to solve premature ejaculation. “Come Play” not only brought a new couple’s vibrator with a revolutionary design aimed at solving age-old issues, but also announced an incubator model with toy company Doc Johnson to support more innovation in sex tech. “We’re just happy that we’re here and have been accepted as legitimate tech. And, honestly that we’re also being used as kind of a draw for CES,” said one of the sex tech innovators showing at CES.

Woman Taken To Hospital For Allergic Reaction After Swallowing Cum

24503004315_94fb07d7e3_zA woman is literally allergic to her partner’s cum. She was taken to the hospital for an allergic reaction after performing oral sex on him and swallowing. Doctors suspected she suffered from anaphylactic shock, but couldn’t understand how that could happen from performing fellatio.

Doctors ruled out a rare semen allergy and soon discovered that her partner had taken amoxicillin-clavulanic acid – a form of penicillin – to treat an ear infection. As a result, the doctors suspected the woman’s anaphylaxis was caused by “seminal transfer of amoxicillin.” Doctors, who believe the case to be the first of its kind ever recorded, have now urged anyone with drug allergies to “be aware” of the potential risk from oral sex.

Woman Taken To The Hospital After Passing Out While ‘Nearing Orgasm’

SexyvictoriaX02A woman was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness while receiving oral sex. The 44-year-old passed out as she was nearing orgasm. CT scans later revealed that the woman actually had a stroke. According to doctors, this is not that uncommon.

In the report, the doctors acknowledged that sexual activity has been “well-described” as a cause of blood vessels bursting because it increases blood pressure. “Older studies with [artery] monitoring during coitus demonstrate that during sexual activity blood pressure, as well as heart rate, is very [liable to change], with particular rises during orgasm,” they wrote. When cumming goes wrong…

The Exercise Class That Also Boosts Your Sex Life

It turns out “barre” has health benefits far beyond toning your thighs and ass—it’s also great for your sex life. The fitness regime significantly strengthens the muscles of the pelvic floor, which has a positive influence on sex. In fact, barre’s origins are deeply sexual, created by a free-love revolutionary who found the ballet-inspired exercises to be especially liberating in the bedroom.

In those pre-Pill years, Cosmopolitan Magazine pitched the workout as the best way to “build sexual confidence and competence.” The creator called her barre exercises names like “The Prostitute,” “Naughty Bottoms,” and one simply called “The Sex.” Devotees could even — allegedly — hope to achieve a ‘coregasm’ (an ‘exercise-induced orgasm’). Clearly, there is something special about an exercise class that also reaps dividends in the bedroom!

‘Good’ Sex Can Lower Blood Pressure The Same As Medicine, Study Says

Screen Shot 2015-08-06 at 4.12.01 PMSex is just what the doctor ordered, according to a study out of Georgia State University. Participants in the study had a 13 percent drop in blood pressure after having sex, to the surprise of US scientists. The study published in the journal Sexual Medicine saw volunteers have sex while wearing a heart monitor, and rated orgasm intensity from 66 to 106, with an average of 87.

Researchers reported: “The more pleasurable the orgasm, the lower the readings on the day after intercourse.” They believe this is because sex boosts oxytocin, which reduces stress. Taking a water pill diuretic, a common treatment for high blood pressure, achieves similar results, they said.

Minister Champions Sex Benefits Of Cycling

hotgirlbikeSometimes good advice comes in the unlikeliest places—like when a minister gives sex tips, for example. It’s true: a minister in the UK is championing the sex benefits that come from regularly riding a bicycle. He points to a Harvard study which shows men who cycle have the sexual prowess of those five years younger.

He tweeted, “Harvard argues men aged over 50 who cycle for at least three hours a week have a 30% lower risk of impotence.” He also spoke before parliament, saying “It’s better for your sex life … yes, much better for your sex life.” As the minister says, “this is something that should be deeply encouraged.” Preach!
