The Most Googled Sex Questions Of 2023

Google recently revealed what people really wanted to know about sex this year. The most googled sex question of 2023 was: “What is the speed bump position?” The term was popularized after a contestant on “Love Island” said it was his favorite sex position—the position involves having a pillow placed under a person’s hips as they lie face down.

Searches for the meaning of “sex positivity” were also popular. Others longed to know how many dates they should go on before having sex with someone, while some fitness junkies wanted to find out how many calories they burned during sex. (Spoiler: It is about 100 calories!) Happy New Year!

The Top Masturbation Question People Had During The Pandemic

During the lonely months of the pandemic, people had one thing on their minds: masturbation. In particular, people Googled one main question. It seems between March 2020 and May 2021 people around the world were Googling to find out if masturbation had any impact on their immune systems.

The top masturbation-related query on Google since March 2020 (both in the U.S. and worldwide) was “masturbation affect immunity.” One doctor attempted to answer the burning question: “You can’t say, ‘Oh my gosh, masturbation every day will prevent COVID.’ That’s definitely not going to happen,” she explained. “But you can say ‘It’s certainly not going to create harm.'” While masturbation might not make you immune to COVID-19, the doctor noted that masturbating and having orgasms provide a slew of other mental and physical benefits for both men and women.

NYC Metro Station Websites Feature X-Rated Search Results

New York City’s Metro-North’s Hudson line is known for its stunning views—but nothing like this. Google searches for at least 15 Metro-North Stations produce official MTA websites with “Flirtatious Anal Dildo For Cock Hungry Blonde Slut” tacked onto the title. The list of stations now posing as porn clips includes 14 along the Hudson line, along with the Harlem line.

An MTA rep blamed Google for the glitch: “This is offensive and inappropriate language that is being generated by a Google search algorithm.” The spokesman added in the statement, “There is no issue with the MTA’s website. We reached out to Google yesterday to ask them to fix this immediately. Google needs to fix this now.” A Google rep explained that the company’s search engine algorithm fills in web page titles with words from other pages that link to it—though typically censors explicit content.

Sex Fetishes Ranked By State

Image Source: Researchers took a look at more than 40 sex terms that were Googled across the US and determined each state’s most-searched fetish. “Frisky Googlers in Nevada and Indiana are going wild for armpits, New Mexicans are titillated by chastity belts, and Alabama has an affinity for Goop-approved yoni eggs — egg-shaped hunks of jade made for the vagina that supposedly elevate orgasms,” reports NY Post. Sports gear has residents in Kansas, Mississippi and Wisconsin going wild, while uniforms get Ohioans hot.

Texans prefer whipping in the bedroom, and masochism—gaining pleasure from your own pain—is the most popular fetish in Colorado, Washington, DC, Maryland and South Dakota. It seems “looners” live in Virginia, with balloons as their No. 1 fetish. The top three searched-for terms throughout all 50 states are masochism, group sex and sadism.

Andrew Yang Upset Porn Fans With His Criticism Of Bing

5942090561_8656911f4b_zAndrew Yang did not win over porn enthusiasts after criticizing Microsoft’s Bing search engine during the fourth Democratic debate, saying “there’s a reason why no one is using Bing today.” The internet immediately jumped to Bing’s defense, reminding the presidential hopeful of the search engine’s true purpose: porn. Countless Twitter users pointed out its unrivaled porn-finding capabilities: “Andrew Yang just tattled on himself for not watching porn by slandering Bing.”

Even Yang’s own supporters turned against him on the issue: “I finally found something to disagree with Andrew Yang. I use Bing more than Google. It’s much better for porn search,” a Twitter user said. According to another Twitter user Bing is great for adult content because its safe search function “makes zero attempt to filter out porn,” thus allowing users unfettered access to specific porn-related imagery. As one Twitter user said, “Um… @AndrewYang , if you aren’t using Bing, you’re searching for porn far less efficiently than the rest of us.”

People Are Now Sexting In Google Docs

Image Source: Flickr.com | User: slushpupIt seems there’s an exciting new sexting trend: Google Docs. Horny couples are using the internet giant’s cloud-based word-processing service to send flirty notes and X-rated images. Lovers typically share a single document and exchange messages both in the main body of text and using the in-line comment function.

One long-distance couple explained the appeal of the digital document they shared called ‘Bedtime Stories‘: “It’s very fun and fantasy-filled . . . Sometimes we just link to erotica we like.” While it’s a new and exciting way to sext, fans of doing it warn it can be risky: “You have to be careful about notifications. Otherwise you risk having sexy quotes from Doc updates pop up on your screen at inopportune times.”

Searching ‘Lesbian’ On Google No Longer Shows Porn First

Image Credit: The Daily Dot, Shutterstock.com

After years of Googling ‘lesbian’ and getting porn in the search results, the search engine has finally changed its algorithm to show educational material first. Google implemented this change in response to mounting criticism, particularly in France. “Critics argued that by placing pornography and other sexualized images of lesbians before their history or other informative content, Google contributed to a culture that oversexualizes lesbians and treats them as entertainment,” explains Daily Dot.

A Twitter user was the first to call out Google during Pride month when, even with a Stonewall remembrance banner atop the page, the top search results for “lesbian” linked to porn. Google’s vice president of search engine quality later said the search results for the term lesbian, “are terrible, there is no doubt about it.” While Google never made an official announcement, the Twitter user who first called out Google tweeted that the Wikipedia page for lesbians is now the top search result.

But hey, looking for some good X-rated material? We’ve got just what you’re searching for here at NiteFlirt!

Facebook and Google Can See What Porn You’re Watching

5447512772_d12336359c_zFacebook, Google and Oracle cloud are secretly tracking the porn you watch, according to a new joint study from Microsoft, Carnegie Mellon, and the University of Pennsylvania. Researchers investigated 22,484 sex sites to expose tracking tools funneling data back to third parties. “Our results indicate tracking is endemic on pornography websites: 93% of pages leak user data to a third-party,” the study finds.

Researchers discovered that Google and its various outlets had trackers on 74% of the top porn sites, Oracle had 24% and Facebook 10%, study authors report. Even if you’re in “incognito” mode and aren’t storing porn in your browser history, the data still gets fed to these third parties. Even worse: researchers discovered that only 17% of the porn sites were encrypted, which leaves lots of opportunities for what study authors refer to as “widespread data leakage” and hacker “sextortion.”

Tumblr Loses Almost A Third Of Its Users After Banning Porn

tumblrNot surprisingly, tumblr suffered a massive blow (no pun intended) to its site after banning porn. It seems porn was the lifeblood of Tumblr, and since the site decided to ban all adult content, its users have mostly all left. Traffic fell from 521 million monthly page views to 151 million fewer page views, or a 29 percent drop after the ban.

Google Trends also shows a steady decline in interest in Tumblr — at the highest point over the last 90 days, Google ranked Tumblr at 100, or the “peak popularity for the term” on the day Tumblr’s porn ban went into effect. But now, Google listed interest in Tumblr at only 34. It seems users that used tumblr for porn have switched over to Twitter: as one Twitter user said, “the minute tumblr banned porn is the minute they signed over a million people to twitter and I’m the proof.”

These Are The Most Sex-Crazed States In America

coffeeSize doesn’t matter when it comes to hooking up, according to a new study. The study looked at search data of hookup terms, and as it turns out, the smallest state in America is also the thirstiest for sex. Rhode Island came in first place for the most “sex-crazed” state, followed by Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Meanwhile, Mississippi ranked last when it came to using Google for help to hook up, preceded by Louisiana, Alaska, West Virginia and Oklahoma. As for major cities, Denver scoured the internet the most for sex, followed by Seattle and Washington, DC. But sexperts were skeptical of the study’s findings: “It’s possible that they search more often or for multiple terms and perhaps they don’t find what they’re looking for right away.”
