Science has found yet another benefit to fucking. It seems the secret to warding off mental decline for older folks is having great sex, according to researchers. A decade-long study of 156 people aged from 55 to 95 found those who scored highly for sexual satisfaction were less likely to develop mild cognitive impairment or even dementia.

The scientists from Kentucky University found a higher score for sexual satisfaction “significantly reduced the odds of a future dementia diagnosis.” Writing in the journal Clinical Gerontologist, the study’s author said: “Routine assessment of sexual satisfaction may prove beneficial in maintaining cognitive health.” Once again, sex saves the day!

New York Senator Introduces Bill To Decriminalize Sex Work In The State

A new bill aimed at decriminalizing the act of selling sex in New York was introduced in the state Senate. New York Senator Liz Krueger recently introduced the Sex Trade Survivors Justice & Equality Act, which was created with the help of sex workers and advocates. The bill is based on the so-called “equality” or “Nordic” model, which would repeal the crime of selling sex.

“We must empower and support people currently or formerly in the sex trade,” Krueger said in a tweet about her support of the bill. The bill aims to give and get sex workers help, instead of jail sentences, in part by preventing the “unlicensed practice of a profession” arrests of people working in illicit massage parlors when there’s evidence of exploitation. “We want to make sure that instead of criminal penalties and jail, we are providing health care, mental health care, etc.,” she added.

Coronavirus Is Not Transmitted Sexually, Study Finds

There is some good news during these bad times: the coronavirus cannot be sexually transmitted. While coronavirus can be transmitted from a simple cough, it does not appear to transmit through cum, according to new research. An international group of scientists in the US and China found no evidence of COVID-19 in the semen of 34 adult Chinese men who had tested positive for the deadly virus a month prior.

“If a disease like COVID-19 were sexually transmittable that would have major implications for disease prevention and could have serious consequences for a man’s long-term reproductive health,” the study’s co-author says. The new findings also set COVID-19 apart from diseases including Ebola and Zika, which can be sexually transmitted. While sex as an isolated action likely can’t pass along the virus, other intimate acts including kissing can, so the scientists still recommend practicing safe sex.
