Pornhub And Other Sex Sites Face Ban In France

Pornhub and other XXX sites might have to say c’est la vie to France. The national media regulator recently announced that it had filed a legal complaint against the sites, which were told they needed to bring in a system to stop underage viewers. Pornhub, the world’s biggest pornography site, is targeted as well as Tukif, Xhamster, Xnxx and Xvideos. 

The ban, if approved by the court, would see internet operators in France ordered to prevent users from accessing content posted on the websites: “If justice rules in favour, these websites will no longer be accessible from French territory or via addresses registered in France,” said France’s media regulator. When warned by the regulator recently, Pornhub criticized the watchdog’s decisions, which it said “infringe upon the privacy of adults.” The adult entertainment site also said that the move leaves a majority of the adult industry “completely unchecked,” pointing out that France is just banning a handful sites.

Employer Held Liable For Man Who Died While Having Sex On A Business Trip

This ruling means that the employer of the man, known as Xavier X, will have to pay hefty compensation to his dependents. Xavier X was working on behalf of his employer, a French railway construction company, when he suffered a heart attack after having extramarital sex with a local woman.

French labor authorities asserted that Xavier’s death should be classified as an “accident du travail,” which entitles the victim’s family to benefits from both the state and employer. As a result, any partners and children of Xavier will receive a monthly benefit of up to 80 per cent of his salary until what would have been his retirement age. French judges claimed that an employee traveling for work remains the employer’s responsibility, regardless of what the employee does on and off work hours: “a sexual encounter is an act of normal life like taking a shower or eating a meal,” the court asserted.

Searching ‘Lesbian’ On Google No Longer Shows Porn First

After years of Googling ‘lesbian’ and getting porn in the search results, the search engine has finally changed its algorithm to show educational material first. Google implemented this change in response to mounting criticism, particularly in France. “Critics argued that by placing pornography and other sexualized images of lesbians before their history or other informative content, Google contributed to a culture that oversexualizes lesbians and treats them as entertainment,” explains Daily Dot.

A Twitter user was the first to call out Google during Pride month when, even with a Stonewall remembrance banner atop the page, the top search results for “lesbian” linked to porn. Google’s vice president of search engine quality later said the search results for the term lesbian, “are terrible, there is no doubt about it.” While Google never made an official announcement, the Twitter user who first called out Google tweeted that the Wikipedia page for lesbians is now the top search result.

France Reimbursing Citizens For Condoms

adult-1822413_640France is showing its support for safe sex by reimbursing for condoms. Having safe sex now means saving French residents money and protecting against STD’s. France’s Minister of Health announced that citizens can be reimbursed for Eden-brand condoms if they have a prescription from a doctor or a midwife.

These French-made condoms are cheaper than name-brand ones and are “the first to be approved for reimbursement by France’s national health authority.” The measure, which was announced shortly before World AIDS Day, is an effort to prevent HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted diseases. The policy sends “a strong signal that it [a condom] is not a sex toy but a real and indispensable prevention tool,” said the maker of Eden condoms.
