Study Finds What Your Face Says About Your Sex Life

It seems people are checking out more than what you’re wearing to determine how frisky you are. Men with long facial features and large eyes, and women with slim faces and small eyes are perceived as more promiscuous, a new study has revealed. And according to researchers, this is actually true for men, but not for women.

Men who were open to casual sex typically had longer faces, higher foreheads, longer noses and larger eyes, the team found—and women who were part of the study accurately identified these male facial features as indicators of the guys’ interest in casual sex. However, men wrongly perceived female faces with smaller eyes and smaller lips to be an indicator of women’s openness to casual sex. “When we are looking for a new partner, we might be looking for different things,” said the study’s author. “We decided to see whether people’s intentions might be revealed by their faces.”

According to Medical Daily, there’s research to back up this theory: “The research showed that men who were most likely to report getting their partner to orgasm during oral sex were more likely to think their woman was sought after by other men. Therefore, the more eager men are to please partners believed to have better options the more likely they may be to perform cunnilingus to keep their mates from cheating.” In other words, if women are getting off enough with their current sex partners—which is more likely to happen when they’re getting plenty of good head—they might be less likely to cheat.
