Taboo-Breaking Photo Series Celebrates Later-In-Life Sex

Even though older people have great sex, they are often excluded from sexual narratives. A new photography campaign is aiming to celebrate and dismantle the stigma of sex-after-a-certain-age. Five older couples were photographed by a world-renowned British photographer for the campaign, called Let’s Talk The Joy of Later Life Sex. By talking about sex and intimacy for people over the age of 60, the campaign aims to challenge the idea that older people can’t and wouldn’t want to have sex.

Two thirds of polled over-65s say sex and intimacy for their age group is rarely or never represented in the media. “In reality, ‘sex and intimacy in later life’ means different things to different people: for some it’s about exploring new and different sexual experiences, and for others it’s simply about feeling able to express emotion through a gentle touch or kiss on the cheek,” a sex therapist involved in the campaign explained. They added that the campaign is trying to open up a societal conversation about the fact that sex and intimacy, in all its forms, “can be as important for older people as it is for anyone else.”

Naked Rock Climber Wants Women To Embrace Their Bodies

A naked climber takes free climbing to a new level. New Jersey native Laura Jasorka says she finds it “freeing” sharing photos of her rock-climbing in the nude. The climber started posing for the au naturel climbs last year, posting the stunning pics online under the name Princess Slaya.

“I instantly fell in love with naked climbing as it felt so freeing,” she said. “I am more prone to grazes when rocking climbing and may end with more scratches. But at least I won’t snag my clothes!” She finds it so “empowering,” in fact, that she now hopes to encourage other women to “appreciate their bodies.” She said, “Women tend to have negative feelings towards their body, but I urge them to get over their fears and take their clothes off.”

Looking for a (sexually) empowering experience? Let’s take our clothes off on NiteFlirt!

New Social Network Welcomes Sexual Content

There’s now an answer to the problem sex workers have faced on social media: Lips, a new social network that welcomes free sexual expression. Founder Annie Brown and her team want users — sex workers, erotic artists, queer people, activists, and more — to post without fear of censorship or harassment. Mainstream social networks like Facebook and Instagram have a strict no-nudity policy, while Tumblr banned adult content in 2018 after being a beacon for sex/sexuality education and porn gifs.

“If someone’s being deplatformed, or before they’re deplatformed, or they feel like social media is a mental strain on them, that they’ll know the name Lips and that they’ll be able to come to us and have this space where they can finally be themselves without fear of trolling or bias censorship,” Lips says. The progressive social network is based around consent: users choose what content they want and don’t want to see. Trolls aren’t allowed on Lips—everyone who wants to post on Lips needs to be approved, and the application process is meant to “scare off” some of the trolls.

Pro Surfer Does Nude Surfing Tour

An Australian big wave surfer unveiled her latest project in which she surfs in world class locations—while completely naked. “Skin Deep” is Felicity Palmateer‘s new film which shows her riding waves in the nude in Hawaii, Fiji, West Australia’s south and northwest coasts. The 28-year-old blonde beauty came up with the concept for the film by combining her passions of art and surfing in a bold display of self expression.

“The process was incredibly empowering. By embracing femininity it helped immensely with my self-esteem and self acceptance,” Palmateer said. The 2019 Jaws Big Wave Championships runner up said the intimate four-minute film explores her interpretation of freedom. “It is at once intended to be provocative, while simultaneously challenging notions to do with beauty,” she said.

Little Mix Responds To Racy Lyrics In Confetti With “We Have Sex!”

Hot UK girl group Little Mix released Confetti recently—their most racy album yet. In a new music video, Jade showed off her ass in a sheer thong bodysuit with fishnet tights. Jade went on talk about the raunchy lyrics from their new album, explaining the band records music from personal experiences, including their sex lives.

She has no qualms of singing about sexual experiences, confidently saying: “we’re grown women and we have sex.” The group finds it “empowering” to sing about sex, which is reflected in the racy lyrics. Taking inspiration from other female stars doing the same, she added: “I find it really empowering, especially right now when you’ve got artists like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion doing songs like WAP.” Jade continued: “I’m so for women being in control of their sexual experiences and singing about it, it’s great.”

Lily Allen Launches Sex Toy, Encouraging Women To Embrace Pleasure

Lily Allen has teamed up with a German sex toy brand to launch her own sex toy—and to highlight the importance of female pleasure. The British singer announced she is partnering with sex tech company Womanizer to release the “Liberty,” a sleek hot pink and orange product retailing at $99. In addition to the release of the vibrator, Allen is now the chief liberation officer at Womanizer, and is heading up the company’s #IMasturbate campaign, encouraging women to embrace their sexuality.

“Sex toys are still seen as a taboo subject because they are, you know, related to masturbation and female pleasure. I think female pleasure in itself is a taboo subject,” Allen said in a video, adding that the first time she tried sex toys was “groundbreaking.” “The only way to make taboo subjects no longer taboo is to speak about them openly and frequently and without shame or guilt,” she added. “I hope that this collaboration will lead to people feeling that they can talk more freely about masturbation and if somebody like me can talk openly about it without shame then they might feel inclined to try it out for themselves—a whole new world awaits,” Allen added.
