Artist/Activist Creates Sexy ‘Consent Underwear’

An artist and activist who created a line of consent-themed underwear has sold over 1,000 pairs to people hoping to talk about boundaries before sex. Her line, called Assk First, features “hand-drawn designs that introduce consent in a creative way”—all proceeds go to the nonprofit SafeBae. The breathable laser-cut underwear is adorned with her original designs and slogans she hopes will spark a conversation about consent.

“Ask me what I want!” reads a black thong; “Consent is sexy,” reads another. A recent collection simply says “Get consent” in a heart with two skeletal hands reaching for each other. “I imagined so many different scenarios where someone would see them and be prompted to ask, ‘What does your underwear mean?’” she explained.

Feeling sexy? Let’s get creative (with consent, of course) on NiteFlirt!

Denmark Launches Sexual Consent App

A new sexual consent app in Denmark allows lovers to grant permission to fuck from their smartphones. The press of a button on the iConsent app gives “one intercourse” which is valid for 24 hours and can be withdrawn at any time. Developers say the app gives people the “opportunity to document your consent to intercourse” by allowing lovers to send and receive requests via their phones.

But they add that “consent in the app can never stand alone, and that it is up to you and the other party to secure your consent before, during and after intercourse.” The app has been met with a cool reception in Denmark, where one newspaper called it “as unsexy as another corona press conference.” A critic compared the app to “transferring money,” adding: “Now we’ve also created an app that removes any kind of human warmth from something we still need to be together for: sex.”

New Zealand Government Uses “Porn Actors” In Ad Campaign

New Zealand knows that sex sells, which is why they used “porn actors” in their new ad campaign. The government tried to grab people’s attention on the somewhat dull subject of online safety with XXX stars. In the ad, the nude porn stars greet a hapless mother, telling her that her son has just been watching them online.

The pair then insist on having a talk with the boy about what he saw them doing. “We don’t even talk about consent do we?” the woman says. “No, we just get straight to it.” “Yeah, and I would never act like that in real life,” the man adds. A spokesperson for the ad says, “You don’t need to have all the answers, but supporting your child and giving that ‘adult’ guidance as they navigate the choppy waters of the online world will really make a difference.”

Fertility Apps Are Sharing Users’ Private Sexual Info With Facebook

The personal sexual data of millions of women have been shared with Facebook via fertility tracking apps, a Privacy International report has found. These apps collect information such as when a user starts or stops their period, moods, cravings, sex life, and other sensitive information. This may have been sent to Facebook and used to market targeted ads.

Two of the fertility tracking apps have a combined 7 million users. Investigators found that the data regarding users’ sexual health was sent to Facebook without obtaining consent from the users. This is just the latest in a slew of data breaches over the last five years but is almost entirely different from any other: by tracking and reporting data to Facebook concerning users’ mood, cycle, and sex life, advertisers are able to target specific advertisements–such as emotional ads–at specific times of the month.

There’s A New ‘Consent Condom’

An Argentinian sex toy company called Tulipán is promising a “hands-on” experience for consumers. They’ve created a new “consent condom,” which requires four hands to open. It only opens by pressing all four corners of the packaging at the same time—ensuring that both parties are equally involved in the decision to fuck.

These origami-style condom containers read, “If it’s not a yes, it’s a no.” Their viral ads frame consent as sexy — and the key point of sex. “Tulipán has always spoken of safe pleasure but for this campaign we understood that we had to talk about the most important thing in every sexual relationship — pleasure is possible only if you both give your consent,” says the company.

Porn Star Teaches College Students About Consent

cup-1010916_1920Learning about sex from a porn star might be every male college student’s fantasy. That’s why adult film entertainer Tasha Reign is meeting with fraternities to teach college guys about sexual consent. She’s on a mission to educate young men about sex since studies show 9 out of 10 learn about it from porn.

She argues, “you wouldn’t learn to drive from Vin Diesel in Fast and the Furious; you shouldn’t learn how to have sex from adult films.” Tasha is using her experience in adult films—along with her degree in Women’s Studies from UCLA—to talk with fraternities about what consensual sex looks like (hint: alcohol is not an ingredient that goes well with consent). She says she gets through to “some of the boys some of the time,” but that they’re always appreciative for the honest discussions about sex they’re able to have with her.

San Francisco Hosts World’s Biggest Fetish Fair

feet-1095408_1280The Folsom Street Fair is back again, bringing 250,000 fetish enthusiasts from all over the world to San Francisco to celebrate all things kink. The annual event that promises “something for everyone” aims to increase awareness and positivity around BDSM, and to raise funds for groups like the National AIDS Memorial. Participants show up clad in their kinkiest fetish gear—while many chose to wear no clothes at all!

More than 200 booths display fetish gear and toys for participants to check out, along with live BDSM demos, and a “sick and twisted performance stage.” NY Post reports, “One BDSM exhibit featured spanking benches and suspension frames where participants could be tied up and dangled. At another exhibit a few feet away, a man wearing just a kilt and a dog mask spanked a topless woman who was chained to a cross.” This year, the fetish fest puts special emphasis on educating about consent in BDSM.

New TV Series Explores Kinky, Polyamorous Relationship

feetJames Davis is just a regular guy—except he shares a home with his wife, fiancee, and two sex slaves. The former soldier swapped the military for his very own BDSM sex dungeon, which he lives in while the ladies in his life take the upstairs of the house. A new five-part TV series will explore their polyamorous BDSM lifestyle, the different sexual relationships they all have with each other, and the frequent sex parties at their home.

Davis, who has given himself the title of “patriarchal overlord,” requires the four women to wear collars, ask permission to use the bathroom, and call him “master.” In the sex dungeon he constructed, called House of Cadifor: Fetish Playroom, the bondage equipment includes an A-frame, a cage and numerous sex toys. Davis describes himself as a rope performer, fetish photographer, BDSM writer, kink educator, lifestyle dominant and consent advocate—and also, “just a guy who loves both freedom and commitment, and who was lucky enough to find some incredible women to love, and who love me back.”

US Military Nude Photo Scandal Finds Images of Male Soldiers Having Sex on Gay Porn Sites

The U.S. Military investigation of images shared online of female service members without their consent has recently expanded in a very unexpected way: gay porn sites featuring men in uniform engaged in sexual acts. While the photos of women were shared on private social media site Marines United, the recent investigation shows that “men in the uniforms of sailors, soldiers and airmen also appear on an array of Tumblr sites.” As Gaily Grind reports, it’s not clear whether these men provided consent for their photos to be shared publicly.

The Pentagon has established a joint military task force to investigate the situation, explaining that the men could be punished if identified on pornographic websites. As USA Today writes, “Precedent exists for booting troops from the ranks for posing nude in men’s magazines. Court martial would be possible for troops who posted images of themselves in uniform exposing themselves or having sex.” In the context of gay porn, military investigators will need to determine whether the solider’s conduct would “discredit their service,” which is considered “a potential violation of military law.”

5 Guys Share the Worst Sex Advice They’ll Never Take Again

Image Source: Flickr.com | User: wurzleWe’ve all heard guys dish out sex advice they swear is the key to getting ladies off. But what most of us don’t consider before heeding such seemingly helpful advice is the fact that what gives mind-blowing pleasure to one woman will often not be satisfying to another woman. Here are 5 confessions from guys who got some bad sex advice they’ll definitely never take again.

  1. If my dick was numb I’d last longer.”
This guy was told that if he numbed his dick, he’d be able to keep it up without any problems. It actually worked (he used a salve used to numb mouth pain), but his numb boner accidentally also numbed his girlfriend’s pussy, so they couldn’t even feel anything!
  2. Eye contact will make it more intense.”
He was told by an “emotional kind of guy” that maintaining eye contact during sex is sure to enhance the experience. But when he stared intently into a woman’s eyes as he fucked her, things got kinda awkward, and the lady he was with was mostly concentrating on avoiding his intense gaze.
  3. Use a doughnut during sex.”
This guy’s friend had successfully incorporated a donut into oral sex: “He put his penis through the hole and she gave him oral while eating it. Apparently, it went well for them. But when I tried it with my wife, powdered sugar got everywhere and things got sticky. I didn’t like having to wash my junk off before we had sex.”
  4. Stick a finger in her ass.”
A college friend promised that surprising a girl with a finger in the butt during doggy style will definitely make her pant, but when he tried it with a woman, she “shot across the bed and turned around, horrified.” The lesson here, guys: ask before you enter!
  5. Ask her dirty questions.”
When this guy’s friends told him that women love to be asked dirty questions during sex—things like ‘Yeah, you like that, don’t you?’—he thought he’d take a stab at it himself. But when he asked his girl if she liked his dick mid-thrust, she only responded with confusion.

Want some sage sex advice? There’s no better way to become a pro than with plenty of practice!
