Demi Lovato is no longer a virgin—of sex-scenes, that is. The pop star who identifies as non-binary and uses “they/them” pronouns revealed on Instagram that they filmed their first-ever sex scene on the set of “Hungry.” They included a selfie in a black, push up bra with sexy bedroom eyes.

“I had a little anxiety going into it but the cast and crew were so professional and easy to work with, it calmed me down immediately,” Lovato said. They added, “Then, I thought about how proud I am for being able to feel comfortable enough in my skin to do that. I rarely ever showed my arms before … now I’m in this!” The singer has been talking about feeling empowered through sex positivity, and how this is a “little win”: “Yay for this random burst of body confidence and yay for awkward hilarious sex.”

Betty Dodson, 90, a bestselling author dubbed the “godmother of masturbation,” runs the New York-based Bodysex course, which was booked until 2021 with a wait list in the thousands. Betty, who has been teaching women since the 1970s, argued self-love is now more important than ever, saying “Pleasure is healing.”

She adds, “With modern life people go on retreats to slow down their brain… They say meditate, I say masturbate, which is a form of meditation.” She also spoke of the positive health benefits to having more orgasms, claiming they help boost the immune system and encourage better sleep by releasing oxytocin and endorphins. “I’m not a doctor or an essential worker but I felt like I had to do something for women during lockdown,” she says.

According to Planet Fitness, the popularity of the “dad bod” is on the up. There are many famous celebs—including Danny Dyer and Chris Pratt—who have embraced the look, showing the world how sexy it can be.

Survey results published by Planet Fitness show 78% of people think confidence is the reason why dad bods are hot. “Nearly four in five among both women and men believe a ‘dad bod’ is a sign of a man who is confident in his own skin,” according to the survey. Results also show 65% of people say the dad bod is attractive while 61% said men with dad bods are sexy—which is up 10% from 2018. Body positivity = sex positivity!
