Space Tourists Will Be Banned From Having Sex In Space

If you want to join the 100-Mile High Club, your kinky plans may be thwarted. Space tourists may have to sign legal documents prohibiting sex during their flight. NASA has long avoided the question of sex between astronauts, having previously insisted that “no humans have ever had sex in space.”

While astronauts are trained to keep a lid on any sexual urges during long spells in space, the public may not be so restrained. According to a professor of astrobiology at Cranfield University, there are “unanswered biological and legal questions” surrounding sex in space that need to be “urgently addressed” before tourists can get frisky in zero gravity. He claims the space tourism industry could easily get sued if any space-naughtiness results in conception since we don’t yet know the risks involved.

Pornhub And Other Sex Sites Face Ban In France

Pornhub and other XXX sites might have to say c’est la vie to France. The national media regulator recently announced that it had filed a legal complaint against the sites, which were told they needed to bring in a system to stop underage viewers. Pornhub, the world’s biggest pornography site, is targeted as well as Tukif, Xhamster, Xnxx and Xvideos.

The ban, if approved by the court, would see internet operators in France ordered to prevent users from accessing content posted on the websites: “If justice rules in favour, these websites will no longer be accessible from French territory or via addresses registered in France,” said France’s media regulator. When warned by the regulator recently, Pornhub criticized the watchdog’s decisions, which it said “infringe upon the privacy of adults.” The adult entertainment site also said that the move leaves a majority of the adult industry “completely unchecked,” pointing out that France is just banning a handful sites.

OnlyFans Drops Porn Ban

In another shocking move, OnlyFans recently dropped plans to ban sexually explicit photographs and videos on its platform. The porn platform made the major U-turn after intense backlash from creators. The London-based company reversed the decision hours after chief executive Tim Stokely claimed the change was prompted by “unfair” banks who were concerned about “reputational risk.”

Some Twitter users speculated that the whole thing had been a huge publicity stunt, but OnlyFans insisted that it had “suspended” the change having “secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community.” OnlyFans said on Twitter, “We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change,” adding “OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators.” Many are skeptical of the reversal, not confident that OnlyFans won’t change their minds again for financial incentives.

OnlyFans Bans Porn

OnlyFans made a shocking recent announcement: it will ban sexually explicit content from its platform. The company said nude photos and videos will still reportedly be allowed if they meet the company’s new guidelines—but “sexually explicit content” will not be allowed under new rules taking effect on Oct. 1. OnlyFans hasn’t explained what would be considered “sexually explicit,” and is making the surprise pivot away from porn in an effort to “legitimatize” the company.

OnlyFans said the move was necessary to “comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers.” Obviously, sex workers and porn fans are appalled: “OnlyFans announces they will be going into Chapter 11 on October 2nd,” said on Twitter user. “OnlyFans banning porn is like Twitter banning people from having terrible opinions,” said another. Many people are accusing OnlyFans of betraying the sex workers who made it profitable: the platform took in $375 million in revenue in 2020 and expects to take in $1.2 billion this year.

Discord Blocks iOS Users From Porn

Discord just cock-blocked Apple users—literally. The group chat service recently announced it will block iOS users—including those 18 and older—from accessing NSFW servers on the iOS Discord app. According to a Discord spokesperson, the new policy is an effort to “to comply with Apple’s policies.”

Many are criticizing Discord’s decision, especially when it comes to defining what servers are and are not X-rated—a policy that will undoubtedly negatively affect adult content creators who rely on the site. Tumblr infamously banned NSFW content in 2018, a move that was also widely criticized at the time. A former Tumblr employee clapped back at Discord’s policy change: “When we dealt with this at Tumblr, it became my full time job for weeks to find incredibly complex ways to appease Apple’s censors,” he tweeted. “This happened every time they found a sexy blog they didn’t like.”

Tumblr’s Anti-Porn Algorithm Is Flagging Basically Everything As Porn

nsfw-blogtumblr’s famously unpopular decision to ban all adult content on its site has proven to be a disastrous failure. So far, tumblr seems to be flagging everything it deems to be explicit material—but it’s algorithm seems to be busted. Hundreds of users have reported having totally innocuous posts flagged on their accounts—everything from abstract art to an image of a vase.

One user was flagged for a gallery of dinosaur pics, while artist Erika Moen (the creator of Oh Joy Sex Toy) has had her fully-clothed selfies flagged as explicit, while her photos of dildos went unnoticed. A lot of people have also noticed that non-explicit LGBTQ content is being flagged, simply because it contains words like “lesbian” or “transgender.” As one poster said, “Curious to see if tumblr will walk this back or just collapse.”

Pornhub Responds To Starbucks Porn Ban With Clever SFW Idea

img_5939Pornhub is already devising a “backdoor” plan to get around Starbucks recently announced porn ban. The porn mega site has a workaround so you can still get your kicks from caffeine and porn: a “Safe For Work” category. “While we were aware some people’s preference in a sexual partner mimics that of their coffee, we were unaware that people were acting on such impulses when getting their caffeine fix,” said the Pornhub VP in a statement.

“To comply with Starbucks’ new policy, we’ve created an option that allow fans to still enjoy great content to which they are accustomed, but that is appropriate for consumption in public places,” Pornhub’s VP continued. The actual content on the SFW page is just as varied and quirky as everything else you’d find on Pornhub: music videos, video game clips, and a hodgepodge of other stuff. It’s also not yet clear if people will actually be able to access the SFW Pornhub page or if the entire Pornhub URL will be blocked.

tumblr To Ban Porn

tumblrStarting on December 17th, social media mainstay tumblr will be firmly cracking down on adult content (what we at NiteFlirt call “fun”). Their help center describes “adult content” as “photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content—including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations—that depicts sex acts”. Any images that they deem too racy or questionable will be flagged and possibly taken down; they also say that even blogs that are marked “explicit” before December 17th will be hidden (but not deleted, they seem to give some time to backup that content if the owner wants), but that content may not be acceptable at all, and “will be actioned accordingly”, whatever THAT means.

This news comes after tumblr’s app was removed from Apple’s App Store on November 16th because child pornography hadn’t been filtered properly.

The backlash to this change in their standards has been quick, like the response from the Free Speech Coalition, a group that stands up to defend the adult industry. They were clear in their post condemning tumblr’s rule change, and you can read their full letter here, but in short they came out hard to condemn what they see as outright censorship and stigmatization of adult content:

As legitimate platforms ban or censor adult content —  having initially benefited from traffic that adult content brought them —  illegitimate platforms for distribution take their place. The closure of Tumblr only means more piracy, more dispersal of community, and more suffering for adult producers and performers.

That’s some strong stuff. And they’re not alone; the message from the CEO and co-founder of ManyVids, Bella French, called the move “simply shameful and blatantly discriminatory” as posted to their blog.

For anyone wondering how that might affect them here at NiteFlirt, Social Shouts does support posting to tumblr, and that isn’t set to change. Our Shouts don’t include images by default, so sharing them with your followers should continue to be available as it has since we introduced them. So for anybody that might be concerned about this news, we’re keeping an eye on it from here, no worries!

Uber’s New Guidelines Bans Flirting and Sex

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cabbiesFor the first time, Uber released new guidelines that forbid flirting and sex between drivers and passengers. It tells both riders and drivers alike, “please don’t comment on someone’s appearance or ask whether they are single. … And don’t touch or flirt with other people in the car.” The ban is an attempt to deter the unwanted sexual attention women often report about Uber drivers.

Now, according to the Uber terms, drivers and riders could get banned from the service for “asking overly personal questions, and making comments or gestures that are aggressive, sexual, discriminatory, or disrespectful.” It expressly forbids all sexual contact between drivers and passengers, even after a ride is over, “no matter what.” The anti-flirting guideline may help curb harassment and creepy situations for women, such as the incident a Boston.com reporter described where a driver offered her oral sex and locked the doors to keep her from getting out. Hey, creepy Uber dudes: harassment is not flirting—and it’s definitely not sexy.
