People Think Everyone Is Having A Lot Of Sex, Survey Says

white-1822497_640It seems men in the US think women are having a lot of sex, with a lot of people. According to a new survey, men think women aged 18 to 29 have sex nearly four times as much as they actually do. Men guessed that women had sex 23 times in a month, but the actual number was an average of 5 to 6 times.

Women were slightly more accurate, guessing that women had sex an average of 12 times a month — but that was still double the reality. In general, everyone thinks everyone else is having lots of great sex, with lots and lots of people, but that isn’t accurate. Researchers believe these exaggerated perceptions could have to do with the unrealistic depictions of sex people see in porn: “It’s not shocking to me, but what it does tell me is we have a lot more work to do.” Cheers to real sex!

This Is Exactly How Many Minutes Per Week It’s ‘Sex O’Clock’

According to new research, the average American couple has sex for 69 minutes (seriously, 69 minutes) per week. A survey of 2,000 couples by EdenFantasys found some intriguing data about sex in relationships.

The NY Post reports, “The average couple has sex nine times per month, for 69 minutes per week. That’s 108 times a year, for 60 hours, or, one and half weeks of work.” Other interesting findings show that only 3 percent of couples are horny enough to have sex more than 30 times per month, even though 60 percent said they wished they had time to have more sex. Another 52 percent admitted to marking “sex time” on their calendars to get in some good scheduled action. In fact, Saturday night at 10pm is America’s “sex o’clock,” when 30 percent of respondents say they’ve penciled fucking into their calendars each week.
