Intimacy Coordinator Reveals What Happens When Actors Get Aroused While Filming

It might not shock you to hear that many actors get aroused while filming sex scenes. Arousal is very normal, as the actors “are going through the physical and the mind, so yeah, it happens,” an intimacy coordinator recently said in an interview. “Just making it really clear that’s normal and that the worst thing you can do is carry on,” he revealed, adding that coordinators should be clear that, “Hey, this can happen.”

He added that a “time-out” is called for the stars to collect themselves. “The worst thing we can do is gawk or make it a massive deal,” he continued. The star of Netflix’s Bridgerton said her intimacy coordinator helped her with many of the show’s racy sex scenes: “We did the intimate scenes like stunts—we blocked them out, so you have yoga balls in between you and all sorts of things that never make you feel exposed in any way.”

This Is How Long It Takes The Average Woman To Orgasm During Sex

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cunnilingus2In a groundbreaking study, scientists measured women’s “orgasmic latency,” or the amount of time it takes them to cum between arousal and climax. A total of 645 straight women from 21 countries took part, and the average time to reach orgasm was 13 minutes and 25 seconds. Researchers asked women to start a stopwatch when they became sexually aroused, and stop it again when they climaxed.

They defined the moment of becoming aroused as “an intense desire for sex in the presence of erotic stimuli, which were provided by the partner, audiovisual methods or both.” Around one in six of those who took part said they never climaxed during intercourse; for the rest, the time it took ranged from 5 minutes 42 seconds to just over 21 minutes. Almost nine in ten of those who took part in the research reported longer-lasting sensations when they were positioned on top.

5 Surprising Foods That Will Increase Your Sex Drive

Image Source: Flickr.com | WillVisionIt seems one of the best ways to get your libido going could be right on your dinner plate. Everyone knows good nutrition has been linked to healthy libido, but now scientific studies have uncovered a list of tasty treats that contribute to an increasing sex drive. Here are 5 of the lesser known foods you should snack on to leave you feeling ready for action all day long.

  1. Walnuts
According to nutritionists, both walnuts and pistachios recharge the libido and enhance sexual appetite. Not only do they increase estrogen levels for women, but they also contain amino acid L-arginine, which helps men to maintain erections.
  2. Berries
Fitness Magazine says the secret to both enhanced libido and sexual endurance lies in the seeds found in blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. Berries contain zinc, which is essential for sexual drive. Zinc is also good for increased testosterone and sperm, and rock-hard erections.
  3. Broccoli
Broccoli contains high quantities of vitamin C, which aids in overall circulation, improved blood flow and is particularly associated with heightened female libido. Yum!
  4. Ginger
Since ginger is spicy, it gets the blood flowing to all the right places!
  5. Eggs
The Times of India reported eating eggs daily contributes to healthy erections. Daily Mail adds, “Eggs contain L-arginine which helps to alleviate erectile dysfunction, as well as high levels of vitamins B5 and B6 which balance hormone levels in women.”

Electric Shock Gives Women Better Orgasms, Study Shows

Image Source: Flickr.com | WillVisionIf you’re looking for a libido boost, it seems a good zap on the ankle might just be what you need. A promising new study suggests that electrode stimulation could help women with a diminished sex drive. The test subjects involved in the study either received a zap near the tibial nerve on one of their ankles, or in their genital area.

Eight of the women—or 50 percent—revealed they found it easier to get aroused, had more natural lubrication and had more intense orgasms after the zapping. One woman told the research team: “I’m not 100 per cent back to the way I was, but I can have orgasms again and they are pretty good ones.” Ankle stimulation works because nerves that travel down to the foot overlap near the spinal cord with those that head to the pelvic organs. Here’s hoping a good buzz can help women get off!

The Hottest Sex Happens In The First Year Of A Relationship, Study Finds

Image Source: Flickr.com | WillVisionIt seems the hottest sex you’ll have in a heterosexual relationship takes place in the first year. According to a new study, women in relationships are four times more likely not to care about an all-night fuck fest than those in shorter relationships. But the same isn’t true for men, who do not lose sexual interest over time.

The study, made by Southerampton University and based on 11,508 participants, found that women are especially disinterested in sex if they have “different sexual preferences to that of their partner.” This means that for women, the quality of their relationship and communication with their partner is very important to whether or not they want to get it on. “It highlights the need to assess and – if necessary – treat sexual interest problems in a holistic and relationship, as well as gender-specific, way,” researchers explain. So there you have it: good communication equals good sex.
