OnlyFans Insists It’s Not A Porn Site As Regulatory Crackdown Looms

OnlyFans insists that it’s not really a porn site—at least to UK regulators. “Amazon sells books on sex and gardening. Nobody calls Amazon an adult bookstore, right?” said OnlyFans strategy chief. “Our content creators provide content on anything from gardening to lady gardens, and for some reason, OnlyFans is ‘an adult-content site.’”

The site has also pledged to make its operations more transparent as lawmakers aim to crack down on “illegal material online.” OnlyFans informed British lawmakers that it backs the legislation, and said that it has removed more than a million posts that have violated their acceptable use policy. The company has tried to walk the tightrope of maintaining its vast porn audience while lining up funding from mainstream lenders who are wary of being associated with a platform made famous by sex workers.

Do you support sex workers? NiteFlirt is out and proud!

Roku Will Block Pornhub And Other Adult Content Channels

Roku is removing a loophole used by porn providers to target users on the streaming platform. The ban will block Pornhub and similar XXX services from offering their channels on the platform. Porn services appear as private channels, which are also used by developers for testing purposes, allowing them to bypass approval needed to display channels in the Roku store to users.

Roku has come under fire in the past for its private channels, due to illegal content being easily accessed. Roku’s announcement to remove the loophole could, however, send many users flocking to other smart TV platform providers. Amazon’s Fire TV and Google’s Android TV platform allow users to watch porn and do so anonymously because these services have a browser.

Lustery Is The Porn Site For Exhibitionists And Voyeurs

Lustery gives voyeurs what they want with authentic porn videos made by real amateur couples. The site shares user-submitted porn videos from verified couples located all across the globe looking to share their passion and intensity with the world. Unlike other premium adult content sharing platforms, Lustery doesn’t charge its content creators a service fee or payout based on clicks or popularity—instead, Lustery Couples receive a flat-rate payment per upload.

Lustery’s porn library is huge: hundreds of videos that feature kink, sex positivity, foreplay, diversity and passion make for seriously satisfying viewing. The site is constantly taking on new Lustery Couples, so not only will there be consistent uploads from couples whose content you’ve enjoyed before, but plenty of new faces joining regularly as well. Lustery even lets you get to know the couples, and most of the profiles contain some “behind-the-scenes” images of the artful making of porn.

tumblr To Ban Porn

tumblrStarting on December 17th, social media mainstay tumblr will be firmly cracking down on adult content (what we at NiteFlirt call “fun”). Their help center describes “adult content” as “photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content—including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations—that depicts sex acts”. Any images that they deem too racy or questionable will be flagged and possibly taken down; they also say that even blogs that are marked “explicit” before December 17th will be hidden (but not deleted, they seem to give some time to backup that content if the owner wants), but that content may not be acceptable at all, and “will be actioned accordingly”, whatever THAT means.

This news comes after tumblr’s app was removed from Apple’s App Store on November 16th because child pornography hadn’t been filtered properly.

The backlash to this change in their standards has been quick, like the response from the Free Speech Coalition, a group that stands up to defend the adult industry. They were clear in their post condemning tumblr’s rule change, and you can read their full letter here, but in short they came out hard to condemn what they see as outright censorship and stigmatization of adult content:

As legitimate platforms ban or censor adult content —  having initially benefited from traffic that adult content brought them —  illegitimate platforms for distribution take their place. The closure of Tumblr only means more piracy, more dispersal of community, and more suffering for adult producers and performers.

That’s some strong stuff. And they’re not alone; the message from the CEO and co-founder of ManyVids, Bella French, called the move “simply shameful and blatantly discriminatory” as posted to their blog.

For anyone wondering how that might affect them here at NiteFlirt, Social Shouts does support posting to tumblr, and that isn’t set to change. Our Shouts don’t include images by default, so sharing them with your followers should continue to be available as it has since we introduced them. So for anybody that might be concerned about this news, we’re keeping an eye on it from here, no worries!
