Lots Of Sex Increases Post-Heart Attack Survival Rates, Study Says

white-1822497_640Sex can save your life… like, literally. According to a new study published in the American Journal of Medicine, fucking increases long-term survival rates after a heart attack. The study tracked 1,120 people who had had heart attacks and found that of the survivors, those who had sex multiple times a week, were 27% less likely to die during the study period.

Those who got lucky once a week were 12% less likely to die, and those who fucked occasionally were 8% less likely to die. Post-heart attack sex was even more vital for a longer life, researchers found. Doing it weekly following a heart attack decreased mortality rates by 37%, more than once a week meant a 33% survival bump, and less than once a week made for a 28% increased life expectancy, compared to participants who never got any after their heart attack.

Americans Love Talking About Their Sex Lives

liar-liarA poll of 2,000 Americans were asked how frequently they think and talk about sex—and the results are not surprising. Results showed Americans think about sex eight times a day on average, while 65% of those felt comfortable sharing their sex lives with others. Americans said they feel the most comfortable talking with their partners about their sex life, and also with their best friends.

“Speaking openly about sex is so important because there are still a lot of people who find the subject taboo. If we’re being honest about sexual desire and sexual health—even if it’s just a casual conversation with friends—we’re helping fight that stigma, one conversation at a time” said one of the study’s researchers. It turns out, Americans are quick to share their sexual experiences with others. One in 10 will share their most memorable sex moments with someone else as soon as the other person leaves the room.

This Is The No. 1 Thing Women Want From A Lover

Image Source: Flickr.com | Richard FosterYou might think women want a sex god with a huge dick, but it turns out women want something simpler from a lover. Kindness is the top quality women overwhelmingly want to see, according to one of the most extensive surveys on what women look for in a long-term partner. Almost 90% of the nearly 40,600 women surveyed rank kindness highest among desirable qualities, followed by supportiveness, intelligence, and confidence.

“Attractiveness” did not not top the list, but gay and straight women agreed they appreciate a nice smile and eyes. Lesbian women completed their Top 5 with average breasts, an average butt and an attractive back, whereas straight women put average penis as No. 3, followed by large hands and, interestingly, a short head of hair. There you have it: what women really want from a lover.

Young Women Who Watch A Lot Of Porn Are Less Likely To Enjoy Sex

img_5939A new study published in the Journal of Women’s Health found that college-age straight women who watch a lot of porn are more likely to feel insecure during sex—and enjoy it less as a result. Researchers discovered a direct link between thinking about porn during sex and insecurities. And the findings also showed that the more women used porn for self-pleasure, the more likely they were to think about it during sex.

“In other words, pornography use for women is associated with increased thoughts of pornography during sexual encounters. And increased pornography thoughts is associated with increased appearance insecurity and decreased enjoyment of intimate acts during sex,” reports NY Post. One of the study’s researchers adds, “Women with higher rates of viewing pornography were more likely to experience thoughts about pornography during sex with a partner, rely on those thoughts to obtain or maintain excitement, or report a preference for pornography over sex with a partner.” When watching porn goes wrong…

This Is How Long It Takes The Average Woman To Orgasm During Sex

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_cunnilingus2In a groundbreaking study, scientists measured women’s “orgasmic latency,” or the amount of time it takes them to cum between arousal and climax. A total of 645 straight women from 21 countries took part, and the average time to reach orgasm was 13 minutes and 25 seconds. Researchers asked women to start a stopwatch when they became sexually aroused, and stop it again when they climaxed.

They defined the moment of becoming aroused as “an intense desire for sex in the presence of erotic stimuli, which were provided by the partner, audiovisual methods or both.” Around one in six of those who took part said they never climaxed during intercourse; for the rest, the time it took ranged from 5 minutes 42 seconds to just over 21 minutes. Almost nine in ten of those who took part in the research reported longer-lasting sensations when they were positioned on top.

Millennials Call Bullshit On The So-Called ‘Sex Recession’

white-1822497_640There are a lot of headlines these days claiming that millennials aren’t getting it on—but ask a millennial if that’s true, and they’ll say it’s bullshit. Cosmopolitan magazine launched its own investigation and found that millennials aren’t necessarily having less sex—they’re redefining and expanding what counts as sex. In fact, 68 percent of respondents denied the very existence of a “sex recession.”

The magazine surveyed more than 1,000 people nationwide, both men and women ages 18 to 34, about their sex lives—and 71 percent said they are personally satisfied with the amount of sex they’re having. Of those surveyed, 35 percent have tried anal sex, 20 percent have experimented with BDSM, 44 percent have used a sex toy with a partner, 9 percent have had group sex and 49 percent have had rough sex. Also, 92 percent were more concerned with quality over quantity: “The truth is that millennials define sex more broadly than anyone who has come before us, which isn’t reflected in the numbers. We are having sex in more ways than previous generations. We’re more exploratory, less limited by taboo and stigma,” the magazine says.

Highly Religious Couples Have Better Sex Lives

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_sex9Religious couples are more likely to be happy with their sex lives, according to a new survey. 38 percent of married women and 33 percent of married men in ‘highly religious’ relationships say they strongly agree that they are satisfied with the sexual relationship they have with their partner, according to a new survey. That’s significantly higher than the 23 percent of women and 20 percent of men in secular marriages who feel the same way, and it also surpasses the 28 percent of men and 22 percent of women who are in less religious or mixed-religion marriages.

Similarly, when the study examined couples in 11 different countries, researchers found 68 percent of women and 64 percent of men in religious marriages report being very satisfied in the quality of their relationship. Just 52 percent of women and 45 percent of men in secular relationships can say the same. “Men and women who share an active religious faith, for instance, enjoy higher levels of relationship quality and sexual satisfaction compared to their peers in secular or less/mixed religious relationships,” the authors concluded.

Pelvic Floor Exercises Could Stop Premature Ejaculation, Study Says

inflatable-tubeNew research suggests that pelvic floor exercises could help around three-quarters of men battling with common sexual issues like premature ejaculation. Experts say strengthening the muscles around the bladder and penis could boost men’s performance in the bedroom. In the first study of its kind, researchers analyzed data from 650 men who used pelvic floor exercises, and the results were impressive.

They found 47 percent of patients with impotence issues found the exercises had worked. While a huge 83 percent of men admitted it had helped them with premature ejaculation. Traditional treatments for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation revolve around lifestyle changes and drugs, such as Viagra. While further trials are needed to confirm whether pelvic floor exercises are an effective treatment for both conditions, researchers say the study is promising.

Men Who Pretend Not To Be Interested In Sex Increase Their Chances With Women

victorianeraIf men want to get lucky, they better play it cool, according to a new study. Researchers involved in the study of 224 men and women found that men who try too hard are a turn-off to women. Women, on the other hand, tend to act more interested when they’re attracted to someone: “We think this may be to keep the man’s attention a little longer,” researchers explain.

Not surprisingly, the study suggests flirting is a tactical game, with each person deciphering the other’s intentions—which goes against stereotypes that men strut their stuff while women act coy. Instead, both sexes act more reserved once they are sure they like someone. “In economic terms it’s about supply and demand. The most in-demand people are not the most available – they are a rare commodity in the mating game,” say researchers.

How Orgasms Can Help You Look Younger

white-1822497_640If you’re looking for the Fountain of Youth, you might start the search in your own bedroom. According to a ten-year study, a healthy sex life can make a person look four to seven years younger. “A good sex life leads to greater contentment, significant reductions in stress, better sleep and, in men, an increase in testosterone output,” says researchers.

The study looked at data from 3,500 participants and concluded that genetic factors were only 25 percent responsible for youthful looks, while behavior—mainly, sexual behavior— accounted for 75 percent. Other research has shown that having an orgasm is a profoundly youth-promoting phenomenon. Cumming decreases the production of cortisol, a hormone associated with higher levels of inflammation, aka a bodily response that is linked to aging.
