This Sex Position Is Proven To Get Women Off

If you want to take your sex life from good to great, there’s one sex position you need to know about. Sex therapists call it CAT, or “coital alignment technique,” which is a tried-and-true way to get women off and increase pleasure for both partners. CAT is a modified version of missionary, where the man rides a little higher, sliding his body up an inch or two so the base of his dick rubs against the woman’s clit.

“In one study of women who were unable to orgasm from missionary sex, published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, those who learned the CAT reported a 56 percent increase in their orgasm frequency,” reports HuffPost. Sexperts say that CAT is a game-changer since most women can’t cum from penetration alone and need clitoral stimulation to get off. It works by positioning the man’s pelvis to be directly on top of the woman’s, which makes the shaft provide extra pleasurable friction against the vulva and clit with every stroke and grind. “An extra benefit is that this may also help men last longer since they don’t experience the same heightened arousal that fast, deep thrusting provides,” explains a sexpert.

Sex Boosts Memory, New Study Finds

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_sex9Here’s another reason to have more sex: it boosts memory, according to new research. Researchers analyzed two years of data on more than 6,000 adults aged 50 and over, and overwhelmingly found that those who have more sex were better at recalling recent events. “The researchers said this study, and previous studies in mice, suggest sex boosts memory by stimulating the growth of neurons in the hippocampus, a part of the brain that is activated when episodic and spatial memory tasks are performed,” reports Daily Mail.

The research establishing that sex enhances memory was first performed on mice, but this study is the first time it’s been confirmed with humans. Participants completed a memory test and a questionnaire where they reported how often they had sex, kissed, or sexually touched a partner. As with mice, humans who fucked on a regular basis fared much better when it came to recalling episodic memories.

Faking An Orgasm Can Make You Have A Real One, Study Says

best_phone_sex_niteflirt_orgasms8You’ve heard the expression “fake it till you make it,” but would you believe that term applies to orgasms? According to new research from Journal of Sexual Archives, faking an orgasm can actually lead to having a real one. One reason is that when women pretend to cum, their partner becomes more excited, which actually leads the woman to become more excited too.

Researchers are chalking the phenomenon up to “elevated arousal,” which basically means that if you act out what you want to happen, sometimes it will. In other words, by reenacting an orgasm—heavy breathing, excited noises, body movements—you can help yourself to actually cum. As Daily Mail explains, “The theory behind this holds that by acting a certain way, the brain—or in this instance, the body—will follow.”

The Hottest Sex Happens In The First Year Of A Relationship, Study Finds

Image Source: Flickr.com | WillVisionIt seems the hottest sex you’ll have in a heterosexual relationship takes place in the first year. According to a new study, women in relationships are four times more likely not to care about an all-night fuck fest than those in shorter relationships. But the same isn’t true for men, who do not lose sexual interest over time.

The study, made by Southerampton University and based on 11,508 participants, found that women are especially disinterested in sex if they have “different sexual preferences to that of their partner.” This means that for women, the quality of their relationship and communication with their partner is very important to whether or not they want to get it on. “It highlights the need to assess and – if necessary – treat sexual interest problems in a holistic and relationship, as well as gender-specific, way,” researchers explain. So there you have it: good communication equals good sex.

People Who Have ‘Friends With Benefits’ Report Being Sexually Satisfied

adult-1822413_640A new survey of 1,000 Americans and Europeans gives surprising new insights into “friends with benefits” arrangements. As it turns out, women are more likely to have FWBs than men. Not only that, but people who have them are pretty satisfied with their sex lives—in fact, they’re more satisfied than people in relationships.

“51% of Americans in FWB arrangements said they were satisfied, 30% said they were only somewhat satisfied, and 19% said that they were dissatisfied,” reports Refinery29. In comparison, people in relationships rate their sexual satisfaction somewhat lower: 43% of Americans said they were satisfied, 26% were somewhat satisfied, and 31% were dissatisfied. Researchers of the study aren’t necessarily saying that FWBs is superior to relationships, but the survey does prove that casual sex can work very well for some people.

BDSM Is Just Like Golf, Study Says

feet-1095408_1280What does golf and BDSM have in common? A lot more than you might realize, actually. According to a new study, BDSM should be treated just like any other “leisure activity.” In fact, the study was so convincing that BDSM has been reclassified along leisure activities in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Experts say that since BDSM helps participants develop personal skills, create a sense of adventure and reduce stress, it’s not different than sports like golf, hiking and skiing. If it weren’t similar to such leisure activities, they argue, it wouldn’t include words like “play” and “games.” The study, led by Idaho State University, states: “A few recent studies have suggested that BDSM participation might provide important psychological and social benefits, such as feelings of pleasure or enjoyment, fun, an escape from the demands of everyday life, personal growth, improved relationships and self-expression.” BDSM—ahem, golf—anyone?

Regular Marijuana Users Have More Sex

Couple making love in bedA new study is proving what weed smokers have known all along: smoking pot can increase your sex drive. The study, published in Journal of Sexual Medicine, found that people who smoke more weed also have more sex. Researchers looked at data of more than 50,000 people and found a definite link between regular marijuana usage and more frequent sex.

Women who smoked pot had sex an average of 7.1 times month, compared with 6 times per month for those who don’t smoke. The results were similar for men: 6.9 times a month for daily weed smokers, and 5.6 times a month for non-smokers. Researchers aren’t sure whether marijuana caused people to have sex more frequently or not, but they had this to say: “We don’t want people to smoke to improve sexual function, but it probably doesn’t hurt things.”

The Surprising Time Of Day Most People Have Sex

white-1822497_640Even though there’s no wrong time during the day to go at it—and sometimes it just happens—there does seem to be a more popular time. According to a new survey, most people are having morning sex. You know the old saying: the early bird gets the fuck!

The survey looked at data from 2,000 couples to find the 10 most and least popular times during the week to fuck, and they found the most popular time was 9 a.m. on Sunday. Not surprisingly, the most popular times to bang are on the weekend, preferably in the morning but also at night. The least popular time is Monday at 4:45 p.m (shocking!). So there you have it: breakfast can wait!

This Is The Amount Of Sex You Have, According To Your Age

Image Source: Flickr.com | Richard FosterA recent study claims to know how much sex you are having—just by looking at one piece of information. It turns out one of the main predictors for how often you get off is your age. Not surprisingly, those who are getting the most action are younger people, aged 18 to 29, who have sex an average of 112 times a year, or twice weekly.

In your 30s, you get laid slightly less, with 86 times a year or 1.6 times a week. Unfortunately, it seems 40 to 49-year-olds have half the amount of sex of their 20-something counterparts, with 69 (a very good number!) fuck fests a year. Researchers say the takeaway is to be proactive about health and well-being, all throughout life—especially when it comes to your sex life.
