New Study Shows Positive Results From Male Birth Control Pill

Clinical trials completed at Los Angeles Biomed Research Institute and the University of Washington suggest that a male birth control pill could be safe and effective. Male birth control has been difficult because men produce up to 1500 sperm per second. But with this new study, it seems male options for pregnancy prevention are finally expanding.

While the pill is not yet FDA approved, clinical trials have shown the pill to be effective. The pills reduce hormones for sperm production, but have no negative effects on sex drive. More research needs to be done—and it could be another ten years before male birth control pills are on the market—but things seem to be on the up and up (no pun intended) for male contraceptive.

Tumblr Loses Almost A Third Of Its Users After Banning Porn

Not surprisingly, tumblr suffered a massive blow (no pun intended) to its site after banning porn. It seems porn was the lifeblood of Tumblr, and since the site decided to ban all adult content, its users have mostly all left. Traffic fell from 521 million monthly page views to 151 million fewer page views, or a 29 percent drop after the ban.

Google Trends also shows a steady decline in interest in Tumblr — at the highest point over the last 90 days, Google ranked Tumblr at 100, or the “peak popularity for the term” on the day Tumblr’s porn ban went into effect. But now, Google listed interest in Tumblr at only 34. It seems users that used tumblr for porn have switched over to Twitter: as one Twitter user said, “the minute tumblr banned porn is the minute they signed over a million people to twitter and I’m the proof.”

Malware Attacks Porn Users’ Accounts For Their Credentials

The latest malware hackers aren’t interested in your bank information or social security number—now they want your porn login information. A report calls this “credential hunting,” explaining these sort of attacks doubled in numbers in 2018 and can be traced to popular porn sites. Daily Dot explains, “users might download malware disguised as a porn-related link—and with it, botnets that track a user’s activity and steal credentials.”

Online criminals sell user information on the dark web for around $10. There are even “sextortion” scams that claim to have videos of people watching porn, which hackers threaten to release to the victim’s contacts if a ransom isn’t paid. “The number of users being attacked with malware that hunts for their pornographic content credentials is on the rise and this means premium subscriptions are now a valuable asset for cybercriminals,” researchers say in the report.

National Enquirer Tried To Extort Jeff Bezos Over Dick Pics

Conservative College Men Campaign For Porn Censorship

Conservative college men at a handful of campuses across the country are calling for a ban on porn. The campaign, launched by students at Notre Dame, has since spread to Harvard University, Princeton University and University of Pennsylvania, according to Inside Higher Ed. Their goal is to ban porn from campus WiFi by installing filters similar to once recently implemented by Starbucks, McDonalds and Panera—even though students can easily stream porn from their phones by using data or access porn via a private WiFi network.

“Pornography is the new sex education, providing a disturbing script about what men find sexually appealing and what women should do to please them,” said the campaign’s lead writer. “Notre Dame’s sincere efforts to educate students about consent and other aspects of healthy sexuality are pitifully weak in light of the fact that by the time students arrive on campus, many have been addictively watching pornography for years.” As others have pointed out, not all porn perpetuates objectification of women, especially feminist-porn made by and for women. It’s also not clear why a handful of young, conservative males feel they’re the right people to lead this conversation.

‘Good’ Sex Can Lower Blood Pressure The Same As Medicine, Study Says

Participants in the study had a 13 percent drop in blood pressure after having sex, to the surprise of US scientists. The study published in the journal Sexual Medicine saw volunteers have sex while wearing a heart monitor, and rated orgasm intensity from 66 to 106, with an average of 87.

Researchers reported: “The more pleasurable the orgasm, the lower the readings on the day after intercourse.” They believe this is because sex boosts oxytocin, which reduces stress. Taking a water pill diuretic, a common treatment for high blood pressure, achieves similar results, they said.

Conservatives really “gained up” on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for using the term “run train” in an interview with the Washington Post. Talking about a fake nude photo that had circulated on conservative sites purporting to show the congresswoman, Ocasio-Cortez told the Post “They’ve been for a very long time focusing on taking quotes out of context or manipulating them or making it seem as though I said things that I didn’t say.” She later added, “So enjoy being exhausted for the next two years while we run train on the progressive agenda.”

Conservative critics immediately pounced on the sexually explicit definitions of “run train” listed on slang dictionary sites. Ben Shapiro’s conservative news website Daily Wire used definitions on Urban Dictionary and the Online Slang Dictionary, which say “run train” can mean to “gangbang” someone. On Twitter he added, “Alex from the Bronx should probably know what ‘run train’ means and why this is hilariously terrible.” We’re pretty sure this sex controversy fits the congresswoman’s definition of what it means to mince words pretty accurately…
