Study Finds Three Main Motivations For Sexting

Sexting has become commonplace among frisky partners—but a new study finds it might not be all about sex. Researchers found that two-thirds of people who send erotic messages aren’t sexting for sexual reasons. A study revealed that people engage in sexting for three main reasons: as foreplay, to gain reassurance in the relationship, or with the expectation the favor will be returned in a non-sexual way, such as a dinner date.

The study, conducted by a team at the Texas Tech University Department of Psychological Sciences, began by investigating what people’s motives are for sending erotic messages. To their surprise, they discovered three nearly equal clusters, suggesting no motivation is more common than another. “It was intriguing that two-thirds of the individuals who engaged in sexting did so for non-sexual purposes,” said one of the study’s authors. “This study highlighted the main reasons to date that individuals are motivated to sext, and it actually normalizes all three types of motivations,” the author added.

PayPal Pulls Out Of Pornhub

wtf-1780728_640PayPal has pulled support for adult performers’ payouts on Pornhub, abruptly screwing (no pun intended) sex workers out of getting their payments in a timely and efficient way. The porn site broke the news on Twitter, saying “URGENT: PayPal has stopped all Pornhub model payouts.” In a follow-up post Pornhub wrote, “We sincerely apologize if this causes any [payout] delays and we will have staff working around the clock to make sure all payouts are processed as fast as possible on the new payment methods.”

Pornhub added, “Decisions like that of PayPal and other major companies do nothing but harm efforts to end discrimination and stigma towards sex workers.” Sex workers weren’t particularly shocked, given PayPal’s reputation for discrimination against adult performers, providers, and adult content creators as a whole. The move once again signals PayPal further stigmatizing sex workers. Way to leave sex workers high and dry, PayPal…

Facebook Clamps Down On Rules For Sex Workers

NiteFlirt_best_Phone _Sex_FaceBookA new Facebook policy tightening rules on sexual content has significant repercussions for sex workers. The new rules updated guidelines on “sexual solicitation,” involving a ban on “sexual emojis or emoji strings” and nudity “covered by human parts,” among other changes. Facebook’s Community Standards is defining sexual solicitation as a user “implicitly or indirectly” offering some form of sexual communication, be it “nude imagery,” sex, or “sex chat conversations.”

The rules also include anything that can be considered “sexually suggestive,” such as sex positions, fetish scenarios, or self-pleasuring. The new rules mean sex workers can no longer post nude photos censored with pasties, emoji, or their hands covering their bare breasts. Facebook still bans a wide assortment of sexual material under its Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity section, which includes “digital content” featuring “explicit sexual intercourse,” “implied sexual intercourse,” “stimulation of naked human nipples,” and fetishism with “urine, spit, snot,” and other bodily fluids.

Farmers Have More Sex Than Any Other Profession

hung-like-horseOld McDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-ohhhh. According to a new study, farmers have the most sex out of any other profession—with a third getting laid at least once a day. What’s more, a staggering 67 percent of them rated their performance in the bedroom as “incredible,” according to the study by sex toy manufacturer Lelo.

A sexpert explains it’s because farmers are more likely to be fitter than desk-bound city dwellers, and therefore have more stamina. Farmers were closely followed by architects, with 21 percent of them claiming to have sex once a day, and hairdressers, with 17 percent saying they also fucked daily. Journalists are the least likely to get it on, and lawyers also aren’t getting much sanctification out of the courtroom, with 27 percent admitting to faking an orgasm every time they fuck.

Porn ‘Superfans’ Less Sexist Than Average Men, Study Says

A group of researchers are challenging stereotypes about male porn superfans. A study published in the journal Sociological Forum suggests that on some measures these men are no more sexist than your average man—and on others, they hold more progressive beliefs around gender. The researchers presented 294 men attending a porn expo with a handful of statements relating to gender equality and compared their answers to a general population survey of 863 men.

They found that porn superfans “are no more sexist or misogynistic than the general U.S. Public,” and also the superfans “held more progressive gender‐role attitudes than the general public.” The researchers elaborated in an editorial: “Over 90 percent of porn superfans—compared to just over 70 percent of the [general population]—agreed that working mothers can have just as warm and secure relationships with their children than non-working mothers.” The researchers argue that their findings “challenge what porn scholars call the ‘negative effects paradigm,’ which sees porn as an inherently bad thing that cultivates harmful attitudes.”

She added, “And certainly don’t give up sex — because that’s just silly.” Hutton decided to get back into modeling at age 47, but she couldn’t understand why none of the women she saw in magazines were over 24 years old: “‘Damn,’ I thought. ‘I still have a good time in bed. HBO’s Intimacy Coordinator Uses A Special ‘Kit’ To Help Actors Simulate Realistic Sex

5251858320_e30b4d759c_zHBO’s intimacy coordinator monitors on-set sex scenes and leads roughly two dozen intimacy coordinators in the network. The former actor and stuntwoman was hired by the network to be its head sex-scene coach, working with actors on intimate scenes and coordinating their movements. She’s recently revealed the must-have products she uses to create realistic looking sex scenes while making sure the actors feel comfortable during their performance.

She keeps a variety of products on hand to pull off a scene, including “Knee pads or elbow pads in case someone’s on a hard floor. Sticky tape, moleskin. Wet Ones, tissues, breath mints. Baby oil so they can take anything that’s adhesive off,” she explained. “Sex scenes are not just a vehicle for someone to get off,” she said of her work. “Sex has so many narratives, and it’s so complex and it’s so important. I think we owe it to viewers to show forms of sexuality that are not the top 50 videos on Pornhub.”

People Who Use Emojis Have More Sex

8A new scientific study confirmed what we all guessed long-ago: people who use emojis have more sex. Using emojis in text messages can enhance the odds of relationship and sexual success, the scientific study found. Researchers at The Kinsey Institute conducted two separate studies to see the impact emojis had on people’s lives, and both showed a direct correlation between emojis and sex.

Specifically, those who punctuate their messages with the images are more likely to have second dates, kiss their dates and have a higher number of sexual partners. “We find that the use of emojis allows daters to communicate important affective information to potential partners, which facilitates successful intimate connection and more romantic and sexual opportunities,” researchers say. Unfortunately, the researchers didn’t specify which emojis were best for getting laid: “[W]e cannot fully know which emojis are most effective at helping to form connections between people.”

Facebook and Google Can See What Porn You’re Watching

5447512772_d12336359c_zFacebook, Google and Oracle cloud are secretly tracking the porn you watch, according to a new joint study from Microsoft, Carnegie Mellon, and the University of Pennsylvania. Researchers investigated 22,484 sex sites to expose tracking tools funneling data back to third parties. “Our results indicate tracking is endemic on pornography websites: 93% of pages leak user data to a third-party,” the study finds.

Researchers discovered that Google and its various outlets had trackers on 74% of the top porn sites, Oracle had 24% and Facebook 10%, study authors report. Even if you’re in “incognito” mode and aren’t storing porn in your browser history, the data still gets fed to these third parties. Even worse: researchers discovered that only 17% of the porn sites were encrypted, which leaves lots of opportunities for what study authors refer to as “widespread data leakage” and hacker “sextortion.”
