Study Reveals Women’s Sexual Desire Increases For Some Of Pregnancy

The second trimester of pregnancy is often referred to the “honeymoon period” because symptoms start to fade and the desire to have sex returns. But a new study suggests that the window of opportunity for sex during this trimester is shorter than previously thought. Researchers surveyed more than 200 US women about how often they had sex during each week of their pregnancy. 

Overall, the probability of getting it on increased only around 60 percent of the second trimester, which is something of a surprise because the whole of the second trimester has commonly been considered prime time for sex. “We hope the results will help clinicians provide beneficial information about the fluctuations of sexual behaviour during pregnancy, and spread awareness around potential sudden declines in sexual frequency, which can in turn prepare or reassure women and partners alike.” The NHS adds it’s “perfectly safe” for women to have sex during their pregnancy unless a doctor or midwife has told them not to.

They got two rides for the price of one. A frisky couple have been charged with public indecency after they were caught having sex aboard an Ohio Ferris wheel. The horny duo allegedly did the deed inside a chair of the Giant Wheel inside the Cedar Point amusement park just after dark and were spotted by fellow riders.

The couple laughed off onlookers who watched in astonishment as their alleged sex act could be plainly seen, witnesses told investigators. Democratic State Rep In Oregon Sues Massage Parlor For Come-On

A candidate for the Oregon House of Representatives sued a massage parlor for nearly half-a-million dollars after he said its owner tried to have sex with him during a massage. Anthony Medina, a Democratic candidate for the Oregon House, said he was left with “emotional injury and mental anguish, trauma, an inability to form close relationships, nightmares” in a lawsuit against the Woodburn Spa in Woodburn, Oregon. Medina is asking for $450,000 in damages and that the spa and two other parlors owned by the man be shut down. 

He also asked that the man be barred from running massage parlors. Medina claimed that during a visit to the Woodburn Spa, the owner pulled his underwear off and began to fondle him. Medina is the second public official to report the Woodburn Spa for inappropriate sexual behavior: “They’re operating with impunity,” said Medina’s attorney, adding “My client’s desire is to shut down these businesses.”

The most recent statistics provided by the Centers for Disease Control and the National Center for Health Statistics showed that more than a third—35%—of women aged 15 to 49 have tried anal sex with a male partner. A similar survey of 880 “sexually active adults” showed that 70% of women have tried anal sex at least once.

In the spirit of a new age of sexual exploration and health awareness, doctors published an editorial urging more clinicians to talk to women about engaging in anal sex. “Clinicians may shy away from these discussions, influenced by society’s taboos,” wrote the doctors with the UK’s National Health System, adding “By avoiding these discussions, we may be failing a generation of young women, who are unaware of the risks.” Physicians and healthcare workers, especially those in primary care and family medicine, “have a duty to acknowledge changes in society around anal sex in young women, and to meet these changes with open neutral and non-judgemental conversations to ensure that all women have the information they need to make informed choices about sex,” they wrote.

The lawyer recently won a nearly $50m judgment against Jones for the family of a six-year-old boy killed during the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, which for years Jones falsely claimed was a hoax aimed at forcing nationwide gun control reform. Before his remarks, Jones had gone on a tirade about the leak on his rightwing conspiratorial online radio show Infowars, saying those suing him now had a nude photo of his wife.
